Did Steve Jobs Get A Liver (transplant) From An Executed Iranian Prisoner?

The average life expectancy of a liver transplanted patient is said to be about 2 years; and sure enough Steve Jobs who had a liver transplant two years ago in Memphis tennesee passed away this past week rougly 27 months after his transplant surgery.

He was a tech giant, and a visionary - who built the most valuable company in the world. He was also very ill; and could afford the very best medical care in the world.

So when he needed a liver transplant, he cut the line and got one. The line, my friends was 6000 people long in 2009. One other report (from another organ donation center has the line at 16,000 people long in the U.S. alone. Every year in the U.S. over 1500 people die waiting in this line.  Patients are prioritized based on medical condition, and by all accounts, his condition would have given him very low priority on these waiting programs. Even if he had somehow managed to get a high priority, he had to find a match...an organ that matched his body. And quite honestly, with a Syrian father and an American mother, Steve Jobs was a mut. He had an unussual body! Even with a high priority, finding the right donor in the U.S. was probably impossible.

To cut the line, and get a transplant quickly, Steve Jobs had to go to Tennesee - to a world renowned center for Liver Transplants that can miraculously get you a liver or Kidney or you name it organ when you need it.

Yes, Memphis. Why Memphis?

Let's see...oh... who runs this Organ Transplant Center in Memphis? Dr. James Eason! Right? Well on paper he runs it. He gives all the news conferences. He is a pretty boy, who takes credit for all the work. But look closer and you see that there are a few Iranian surgeons right next to him, right there at the top of the Transplant Center at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis Tennessee who actually specialize in Liver transplants. And are able somehow to get the organs they need to conduct the transplants. One of the senior doctors there, has a letter of appreciation from the Minister of Health and Medical Education for Advancement in the History of the Iranian Medical Society for the first successful living donor liver transplant!

Now, I am not accusing anyone, but why should Memphis - of all places in the U.S. - get organs that other places in the U.S. can not get? Is there a huge population of Syrians in Memphis married to Americans? Isn't Memphis also the Heroin capital of the U.S.? Isn't Memphis international airport the largest international cargo airport in the U.S.? Isn't the IRGC, not only the largest smuggler of black market organs worldwide, but also the largest transhiper of Afghan heroin too? Might the IRGC use the Heroin trafficking systems to smuggle organs too?

Iran is now number 2 after China in prisoner execution rates worldwide. Iran, with a population roughly 15x smaller than china is executing about the same number of prisoners. These days, in Iran, executions are handled by "medical teams". Prisoners are cut up, and their organs are flown across the world from Iran to transplant centers in Europe, US, India and Japan. Kidneys are especially in high demand, and Iran actually has a massive surplus of kidneys that it sells. Organ sales is legal in Iran. It is the only country in the world where Organ sales is actually government sanctioned.

I wish Steve Jobs was still alive, because I think if he knew what might have happened for him to get his liver, and live two years longer, he might just have been powerful enough (with all his wealth) to influence U.S. policy vis-a-vis Iran. A little guilt might have gone a long way towards liberating Iran and Iranians.

Jobs as you probably know was adopted, but his real father was a Syrian who married an American. He was probably genetically close enough to a tragic Iranian prisoner's blood and tissue type for a near perfect liver transplant. Unfortunately even Steve Jobs, could not reverse a biological reality that a perfect organ match is eventually rejected by a new body. Even with suppression drugs, most patients apparently live a few years!

May he rest in peace, and may he look down on earth from wherever he is (heaven or hell) and do something to make this world a more decent place...especially for Iran and Iranians... who are under the imposition of an oppressive, ruthless and mafia type regime that will do anything for power and profit ... and in the end live under conditions where prisoners are killed and sacrificed for people like him to live a few more years.

It was just long enough for his company Apple, to rise to the very highest equity valuation in the world. Just long enough for his name, his image, his legacy to rise to the status of a tech "God". He is revered. What about the poor soul that died - whose liver is part of Steve Jobs's body being cremated?

Oh, sorry.  Maybe not.  I remembered that you don't need to do any more reading.  You know it all.

Ok - I'll Write The Book ... And A Song or Two

by ayatoilet1 on

Thanks for all the advice, I promise, it'll be my next book ...

Check me out on Amazon in three months or so ...The Supreme Dr. Ayatoilet Kh Kh Kh! (Book and Soundtrack) Maybe they'll give me the Nobel Prize for Literature or as JJ said: Science (fiction). The first Iranian male with such an honor ...Wow!!

Is there a Nobel Prize for music too? I'm thinking of writing a punk song or two for Steve Jobs ... maybe call it "Achy Breaky Liver" (in collaboration with the Countdown Kids or weird Al Yankovich) or "Liver of Gold" (in collaboration with Neil Young)   or "Liverbreaker" (in collaboration with Pat Benatar), "Don't Go Breaking My Liver" (in collaboration with Elton John, Kiki Dee, and Bernie Taupin) and in honor of the poor soul I believe they killed for the all that money from Steve Jobs.

"Stop Acting Rich..."

by comments on

Have you noticed as long as we read about a rich person we remember our limited wealth?  Then, we immedicately come up with something to back up our own finance.

Can't we be a bit thankful for what we have, and accept what others have?

There is US statistics about people who live in upscale areas and own a house above $1 million dollars.  Based on the below book Iranians are second after African Americans in that catagory in the US!?  What does the table exactly present?

The table presents group of people whose income is lower than what they have bought.  Cultures make people to purchase belongings, which are above what they could afford.  80% of real millionaires in the US own a house around $300,000.  The book is worthy to read for Iranians.

and if nothing else there was Pro-Shah farsi radio station in Baghdad during the War..

And there was an English station in North Vietnam during that war. Is that evidence that American leadership was in it with Vietcong? Is this reasoning? More I read on these blogs less sense any of them make.

Fairness Please?! These are Legit Question, No?

by ayatoilet1 on

If you guys think its funny, then please laugh and laugh hard!! It is true that I mix serious stuff with comedy - sometimes.

And Call me stupid, if you must, that is fine. Call it science fiction. Call me a clown! That's okay. Attack me. Call me names. Do whatever you need to do to debase the issue at hand. And JJ you are right, there are no facts here...

Just a series of simple questions.

But the questions do have validity. These are legitimate questions. Who gave Steve Jobs his liver? Why did it all happen in Heroin City - USA? Why in the city with the busiest international cargo airport in the US? Did these Iranian doctors and their connections have anything to do with him getting his liver?

Again, no one is accusing anybody. Lets just get the facts. Lets get these questions answered. Why is it all being kept super hush hush and secret? Patient's privacy is no longer an excuse, Steve Jobs passed away, may he rest in peace.  Now feed us the facts.

As for the commented saying this blog is about as true as Reza Pahlavi's involvement in the Iraq war. Thanks for your support, because everyone know that Reza Pahlavi and Bakhtiar collaborated, and if nothing else there was Pro-Shah farsi radio station in Baghdad during the War...that is unless you are/were deaf and dumb. And yes, there was evidence by a lot of people about all it - factual, real absolute evidence - that was undeniable - including RP's own private butler/comisar/servant what ever... If he wants to drag Reza Pahlavi into this - go ahead, we'll have another 100 comments about it. The more comments, the merrier, the more RP's name gets muddied.

Writing the novel

by Siavash300 on

Dear Sir/Madam:

First of all, let me ask you, please do NOT interpret my friendly suggestion as a sarcastic remark because that is NOT my intention here. I am talking my heart and I am sincere.

Have you ever thought of being a novelist or writing an advanture stories?  You have a great imagination. I think you have the bases of being great novelist in the rank of Daniel Steel. That will also promotes Iranians status in international community.

Sincerely,

Siavash

  • Rea : I have been wondering about the same thing. What is going on with the increasingly belligerence of some people. No limits seem to be respected. I agree that nothing is sacred. But this goes beyond any reason.
  • Tavana: Steve Jobs owed no one anything. He paid his taxes; built a company and lots of jobs. His Mac has already helped many scientists in their work. It is not his job to fund every medical research. That's job of National Institute of Health.
  • I wrote  a blog asking for civility. I was mocked. I wrote a blog asking for a stop to bullying: I was mocked. You get the result of what you sow. Plant hate and you get this. BTW: this is just want some people planed in Iran resulting in IRI.

I have been upset at IC recently. But I don't want it sued out of existence. This may well be libel and this is not dealing with RP or NIAC. We are dealing with a very popular icon. At the minimum label it as Satire and a JOKE.

If I may add this is a culmination of recent poor taste shown on IC. It started with some blogs accusing RP of treason with no proof. Next blogs with very rude Farsi words. Then nothing happened. So people started pushing the limit. Now this and it will keep going. The stopping point is when someone puts their foot down and says "enough". No more false accusations; insults and vile language. All those of you who praised the vulgarity of other blogs as "Saadi" did it. Shame on you.

We may go this way or put an end to baseless and highly inflammatory libels. If we keep this up it won't be pretty.

Absolutely no time/no interest to read anything about the deceased SJ! Nothing & absolutely nothing is going to bring him back! Just heard on the news though that he left $9 Billions (with a "B") fortune for his wife! Perhaps if he would have had spent a fraction of that to open up a few hospitals for the needy, or to pay for the life saving operations of the others in need of money, or to do the acts of the similar he would still be aroud for anthothe 56 years with his cancer all gone! There is an All Mighty in control of everything after all! Is not he?

Science Fiction

Your post has no facts whatsoever. How you can link executions and the liver black market in Iran to Steve Jobs without a shred of evidence is remarkable. You should try writing science fiction then no one would question your intelligence.

Totally irresponsible

by Shifteh Ansari on

You are suggesting a horrible conspiracy theory here without any proof.  Forgive me, but who is ayatoilet1?  Just a screen name of someone who says himself he has no credentials for any of these allegations.

When Steve Jobs' PR people or his estate find this little nugget of no-wisdom, they will have every right to take legal action on Iranian.com.

Your little conspiracy theory does not represent freedom of speech.  This is libel and defamation of character, both major offenses  that can be pursued in a court of law.

I am appalled.

MRX1

It's highly possible

by MRX1 on

First of all the regime's essense is looting, so any oppotrtunity to make money is a good opportunity for them. so why not selling organs?

Furthermore in their mind set (You really have to get into  head of islamists to understand this) the people they kill are considered unclean, unholy,  najes you name it! In fact years a go I spoke to a former member of MKO who survived the IRI prison, he said the rev guards many times refused to even touch them becuase they considered them dirthy, najes and so on.  So there in no love or respect for the dead body in Islamic paradise and they buried people (they still do) and tell their families after the fact, so who knows if the bodies were intact or not? Never mind that how can you even be sure your loved one is buried where they tell you he or she is buried?

People in charge in Iran are the most corrupt, violent, filthy, degenerate basterds on the face of the earth. Any thing is possible from them.

Truthseeker - They won't Release a Name

by ayatoilet1 on

They won't release a name, and there is no indication or evidence of a car crash by a 20 something yearold anywhere in Tennesee for the prior 18 hours before the operation.

This is not true. Why won't they release a name or time of an accident? I think my question remains vaild? Where did the liver come from?

JJ - I understand

by ayatoilet1 on

I can accept you wanting to distance yourself from this, but I appreciate the opportunity to post a blog like this, and your respect for freedom of speech to a point where you at least allow other voices to participate in this forum.

I have always respected you and your point of view. Let me just say that it is NOT only my voice or me that have taken a stance on Iran's Black Market organ sales. So basically there is something to this article...and for sure its not zero.

Regardless, we can agree to disagree with each other. And I know you are gracious enough to accept that.

ayatoilet1

I took it off - to do more research

by ayatoilet1 on

And the facts have been confirmed. I called the hospital, called the transplant center, did some research on the principal physicians... and thought it would be prudent to wait.... Its now time to post something like this. The old post was modified and edited. The question remains valid? Who provided the Liver organ on spec? Did it come from Iran? If so how?

And the facts regarding the IRGC and Iran being the largest vendor in the Black Market organ trade has been vaildated. Do a quick and dirty google search and you will see lots and lots of articles. And by the way, I have gone through them all.

Now, I do not work for the FBI, CIA or Interpol...I am self employed...I don't investigate these things for a living, and I am not a journalist. This is a blog. And I think its a legitimate question. Its a valid issue. We (the public) have a right to know - it is not a private matter now that he has passed away, its an appropriate time to ask.

Should the IRGC be doing this without any international sanctions or review? When will the blood thirsty regime in Iran be held accountable for their crimes?
