I found this video on youtube, about a gathering that took place in Park e Melat in Tehran on Jan 21. The people in this gathering all had curly hair. It's a beautiful video on how simple things can bring people together for a fun time.

and here is another video of the gathering:

Loved the video.Thank you so much.

Also would like a gathering of shoe sizes, different shape noses, belly-buttons, you name it. Of course I'd gate-crash all of them.

Hi Yolanda,

Yap, I thought that about the Egyptians too. I
thought they always walked sideways.  Oh and the Indians  had eight
legs, the Aztecs had gold growing out of their groins and Eskimos,
well, they just looked like Bird's Eye Fish Fingers.

I wish I could join these happy folks back home right now. Of course me the "kachal" had to wear a wig!

Thank you HG, for cheering us all (well most of us!)  up with this blog

It's a Shame

that the youth in Iran are harassed, arrested or put in jail only for their clothes or hairstyles. In the past 32 years Iranians have not been able to enjoy any kind of freedom and I simply couldn't understand the significance of this show. Death to the oppressive regime of IR.

Well, these people don't need to perm their hair and they don't need hair-rollers either!

I thought there are a lot of people with curly hair over there based on the bas relief in Persepolis:

If you advocate bombing these people.

Well, any people for that matter...
