I just got back from Roger Waters The Wall concert in Toronto. I'm sort of at loss for words to describe my experience during this epic musical/theatrical/visual/rock show. I have shot most of the songs on my camera which I will post to Youtube. But I have to say, during the second song "Thin Ice" they showed pictures of fallen soldiers and they showed Neda's picture as well. I just had tears running down my face when I saw that. So now, enjoy the video here, her picture comes on at 4:50 minute mark and listen to the crowds' reaction. I should also mention that during the intermission, they projected a whole bunch of pictures of dead soldiers and other dead people who are considered "Fallen Loved Ones". There were some pictures of green martyrs, like Neda, Amir Javadifar, Mohsen Rouholamini, and the late singer Freydoun Farokhzad with some description about who they were and how they were murdered. You can also upload more of the green martyrs at rogerwaters.com and it may make it to the show.
I always loved Pink Floyd and always will. But Roger Waters just went beyond that. simply amazing. If he brings his show to your city, get a ticket and go see it. you will never forget it.
here is the video

Just Another Brick in the Wall!
by Faramarz on Fri Sep 17, 2010 07:17 AM PDTThank you Azadi.
We have to chip away at this wall of the Islamic Republic regime, one brick at a time, until it finally crumbles; Like the Berlin Wall.
It is a tragedy that Neda and so many other innocent people had to lose their lives.
Awesome

Grew up with Floyd
by mahmoudg on Fri Sep 17, 2010 07:01 AM PDTWhat a beautiful gesture. If IRI only knew the amount of hatred it has created around the world for itself by its brand of Islam, it would pack up its bags and leave voluntarily. Bless you Roger for giving us such fond memeories all these years.

As an avid Floyd's fan
by Cost-of-Progress on Fri Sep 17, 2010 05:19 AM PDTI've seen Waters and Pink Floyd many times. Last time I saw Waters was at the Patriot Center in 2006, I believe. He tore a new butt hole for the Bush Administration by openly criticizing their policies in the Middle East............... in a Rock Concert.
His music is unique and full of political messages. I suggest one of his older albums called Amused to Death: awesome.
Also, David Gilmoure of Floyd has a relatively nerw album called On an Island, That is superb as well.
Thanks for the clip.
PS I see that as usual, tagord decided to butt in on a blog, but apparently stopped and STFU.
