Thousands of Iranians protested on April 29, 2008 outside the United Arab Emirates' embassy in Tehran to demand for a waterway crucial to the world economy to be called the Persian Gulf, and not the Arabian Gulf. The name of this key waterway/oil shipping route is a bone of contention between Iran and its Arab neighbors. The protest gathering was held on the occasion of the National Persian Gulf Day.

Pathetic...

What's wrong with these people? Who cares how Arabs in the UAE call the Persian Gulf? The international name of the gulf is the Persian Gulf. These people have nothing better to do????

I'm sorry, but this is shameful and pathetic. The international name is the Persian Gulf, and nobody but some Arab countries call it the Arbia Gulf, so what? Iranian call the Caspian sea as Khazar. So what?

Protesting for such things will only embolden others to mock Iran and Iranians!
