by sad (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 10:18 PM PDTLong LIve Iran minus Islam!
Islam is the death of Iran and the Iranian culture.
But the capper, of course,
by waitingforgod (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 10:14 PM PDTBut the capper, of course, came when he withdrew U.S. support for the ailing shah of Iran, a Western educated, pro-American monarch who had kept radical Muslims in line and provided stability throughout the area. This sometimes required what Carter saw as repressive measures by the shah's dreaded secret police. So, what does this born again Georgian do? He helps unleash one of the most regressive radicals in modern history, the Ayatollah Khomeini, on Iran and the world. The secret police were amateurs compared to the oppressiveness this creature brought with him from exile in Paris.

The cleric, whose religious ideology was right out of the 11th century, then warned his benefactor not to permit the dispossessed shah to get medical treatment in the United States. That was too much even for Carter who ignored the edict.

by farhang (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 07:25 PM PDTAfter experiecing so many misfortunes that Islam brought to our country, you say we can be Iranian and at the same time Muslim!!!!!. Islam is the religion of cry, suffer, poverty, hanging people, stoning...., and it does not go with the Iranian culture which is based on humanity, love, happiness, music, dance, science and all other good things.
to Bahram the Iranian
by fardin (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 07:15 PM PDTYou are right, but did you ask yourself why the people use the arabic language in Iran. For the last 30 years whenever they watch TV or listen to the radio they just hear verses of the satanic Book(Koran). Each book used in iranian school starts with arabic words(bh smelah rahmane rahim) and day by day they are exposed to the backward arab language and religion with no other choices. Thanks god the new generation of iranian people are in favour of pure Persian language and Persian culture. %99 of the young Iranian has no interest in Islam and the number of conversion to the Zarthosti religion is on the rise. Soon we will have a non-islamic Iran. Believe me I was in Iran about 3 month ago and it was amazing how the people are turning away from Islam. I was in Pasargad(Shiraz) and saw many Iranian coming to pay their respect and appreciaion to Cyrus the great and many of them kissed his tomb!!!!!. I hope it tells you something about the changes in people's attitude toward the Islam and its arab Imams and honoring their own people(Persian Kings, and the honorable Zoroaster).
Iran no longer exists. The
by Anonymousjm (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 06:50 PM PDTIran no longer exists. The name should be changed to Islamestan, period. The name of Iran has been dragged through the mud by these quislings. Let them have their Islamestan but don't contanminate the name of Iran any longer. Let Iran be remembered as a great civilization that was..
You can't be both Iranian and muslim at the same time. It's a travesity of an epic proportion.
Norouz has been registered with UN
by Bahram the Iranian on Sat Mar 22, 2008 06:38 PM PDTI hope you havent missed that part, this is a great news.another point Mr ahmadenejad doesnt speak arabic, one can tell that by watching his meeting with any arab leader, there is always an interperter present to translate. He reads off the holy Koran. you dont like it , too bad an overwhalming majorty of iranians living inside Iran do, dont believe it?buy a ticket go to iran hang around on streets of any city you like and listen to pepole , listen what kind of language they speak, you will see it is similiar to the one he has used.
Long live Persia
by fardin (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 05:59 PM PDTSomebody has to explain to him that Noroz is a Persian tradition and has nothing to do with the Arabs who killed millions of Persian 1400 years ago. I wonder whether he knows who Cyrus the great(the founder of Persia) was or he knows anything about the glory of Persian empire before the Arab invasion. He thinks Iran was from the day of her establishment a Muslim country and was flourished by Koran. He speaks arabic because he is an Arab with the Iranian ID. The day will come that we Iranians can practice our own religion(Zartosht)which is based on good thoughts, good words and good deeds. We are fed up with Islam and its inhuman and cruel rules(stoning, hanging, cutting the limbs etc.)

by Kamangir on Sat Mar 22, 2008 04:18 PM PDTWhat does 'Imam jaffar sadegh' have anything to do with Norouz? What has 'amir al momenin' have anything to do with it?
What is this crap? Who has asked this Arab to describe Norouz to us?

Speaking Arabic
by Mehran (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 04:15 PM PDTI don't get this. If you can open your new year speech in Arabic, then why can't you do it in English, French or Russian. Why this so called president have any business to speak any language other than Persian when he talks to Iranian people.
I don't speak Arabic!

God Bless Ahmadinejad
by God Bless Ahmadinejad (not verified) on Sat Mar 22, 2008 02:57 PM PDTIm so glad we are not like other countries in the Middle East. We have a populist president that was democratically elected. A president that is spearheading the global anti imperialist struggle. And most importantly is loved by Muslims worldwide and lives amongst the people. How can anybody other than an oppressor be against this humble man.
