kharazi defended iran!

"and I wouldn't even be surprised if this government gave the blessing to Arabs to change the name of Persian Gulf to Arabian Gulf"

are you kidding me? former foreign minister kharazi did a magnificent job to preserve irans right and international recognition as persian gulf. if anything its american government pressuring arabs on this name change, indeed american military in qatar has been calling it arabian gulf lately. this is a western conspiracy. arab govts are nothing more than puppets of the west.

to AHMADINEJAD = MARDOMI

by azadi55 (not verified) on

Suppose IRI administration has this sort of one on one with people, but regardless of that, nothing in Iran gets better. Economy keeps getting weaker, Inflation keeps rising, our youth remain unemployed with no hope for a better future, there is more drug problem in Iran than ever and on the rise, human right let's not even go there, women rights meaningless, possibility of another war becoming close to reality thanks to Ahmadinejad's speeches, prostitution is on the rise, poverty is on the rise, and I wouldn't even be surprised if this government gave the blessing to Arabs to change the name of Persian Gulf to Arabian Gulf. What has really Ahamadinejad's government achieved in the past 2 years?

Behnam and IranNegah.com

I am writing a letter to the IRI to fire you. You are wasting IRI's money. Your job was to come to this site and "PROMOTE" the IRI, not "DEMOTE" it.

And by being not so smart, you have managed to unintentionally demote the IRI. Just take a look at the comments you are getting. I think IRI has smarter people than you for this job. IranNegah can do better for the IRI than you are.

I nominate Hoder to replace you.

IRI = same as MASSES

by IRI = same as MASSES (not verified) on

"These are the same people that go out and vote because they fear that by not voting they can't go to college, they will not get coupons, they'll be prosecuted."

If that was the case, why do these people not CAST BLANK BALLOTS? indeed some do, but not more than 3% of the entire votes casted are BLANK! so if people were voting because of that threat ONLY, they would just cast a blank ballot and get their STAMP. your argument doesnt hold. stop making up things.

its really sad how the opposition will come up with any type of lie or explanation to eXPLAIN why people do this or that in iran, or vote, or engage in anything with regime. have they ever for once thought it possible that some people, indeed a large majority actually supports this regime, the regime came from the masses, and is past of it, its in some ways inseperable form it, shares the same culure and values as masses. maybe this is what bothers some of you westernized iranians living abroad. stay there. its better suited for you!

this is why they write letters to ahmadinejad, this is why they greet and embrace him in his provincial trips. these people of ours are not oppurtunistic, they simply want to live a simple life, live amongst their means. and they see a man with good intentions who wishes to help them.

I think we're talking about

by Anonymous_rtyu (not verified) on

I think we're talking about different things. My point is that there are always people that no matter how much
they tell you they hate the current government, they are
ready to do whatever it takes to take advantage of the
situation and as they call it themselves be "Zerang".

You're abosultely right that the mafias are ripping the
biggest profits but they're smart enough to create this
illusion for ordinary people that they're also making
profit out of the current situation by taking bribe,
making money by doing little illegal things such as
doing illegal constructions.

I actually remember that for a large number of people
the reason for them taking part in revolution was to
be able to build a house in the "Kharej-az-Mahdoodeh"
area around Tehran. Most of those people don't like
the current regime but if you ask them are you ready to
give back whatever you've illegaly earned in order for the revolution to be "undone" the answer will be "NO".

These are the same people that go out and vote because
they fear that by not voting they can't go to college,
they will not get coupons, they'll be prosecuted. I
personally have never voted a single time and never
suffered any limitation (of courese I never applied for
a government job such as Savamak) and was able to go to
college and work.

The problem is the regime? Not really.

by Killjoy (not verified) on

Anonymous_rtyu,

It's interesting you mentioned construction projects.

Ask around, it's a well-known fact that all the lucrative construction projects go to Ahmadinejad's sidekicks and supporters in the IRGC who run their own private corporations while getting their salaries on the side.

If you can, try to find out who got the projects for rebuilding Bam as an example of Government interference in this sphere. Those who got the lucrative contracts were not your ordinary ivestors.

Also ask about biddings on any other projects aside from construction.

Somewhere in your readings about the status quo in Iran you must have read something about the "Mafia" organization running Iran's financial institutions.

Why else in the world do you imagine any individual or group of individuals would want to have a dictatorial regime if not for controlling financial institutions and profiteering?

When even in the greatest democracies you find napotism and financial mismanagements why do you think a bunch of parvenus in power in Iran would act in favor of ordinary people?

AHMADINEJAD = MARDOMI

by AHMADINEJAD = MARDOMI (not verified) on

Name me one GOVERNMENT in the world, where it is so easy to meet with government officials and have them solve your problems. Well Ahmadinejad's administration does this in EVERY SINGLE PROVINE OF THE COUNTRY THEY VISIT! Indeed his advisors say this is causing problems because people are becoming to dependent on the "dolat." But this is the essence of being MARDOMI president. And this is why he will be re-elected

The problem is the regime? Not really.

by Anonymous_rtyu (not verified) on

The problem is that people of Iran that as long as they
can somehow get a permit for an illegal construction project, they are ready to tell all kind of lies in front of the camera. Hypocrasy at its finest is brought to you by Iranians!
