Is it only me or you also have noticed?

I have noticed a clear rise in posting of open support for IRR on this site. We have always had for a long time closet supporters, but recently we see No Fear, Jenaab Sargord , Reza Esfandiari & yousef Bozrgmehr,…..What’s going on? Where were these guys before the (S)election fiasco? Is IRR scared shitless? Do mediums like Iranian.com have any impact in organizing the movement? Why show up here with western educated prostitutes to muddy the water? “I am AN supporter, ask me any question…”, “No Rest or Peace”,…..

I’ve been here well over a year now and never seen anything like this befoe. Where the hell have all these openly defenders of IRR been? Why now?Call me “day dreamer”, “naïve”, “wishful thinker”, or simply “stupid”….But, I smell victory.

Hi Natalia,

I am Esfahan, Yazd, and Tehran person. Yes, Kish Island is pretty, but it is very expensive. I am financially challenged, meaning I am poor! I lived in Hawaii for 4 years, so I have seen enough beautiful beaches.

Please take care!

As long as you are happy, it is all that matters. :o)

I want you to know that I too wish to visit Iran but I want to look upon the Caspian Sea on Iranian soil.

I just love spending time on the beach.

Perhaps, we will some day come across each other on Iranian soil one day.

As a friend of mine likes to say....As long as there is hope.....there is life...........

Now, I am very very serious: if you really don't feel comfortable with your post, you can take it down.....it is up to you...I swear to God that I am fine with your post.

**************************

This morning, I thought I wrote an innocent post, but I felt someone's feeling was hurt....so I decided to take down my post, but someone replied my post already....my post was trapped.....so I did something I never did before: I flagged my own post....shortly after that, my post was unflagged, I have no idea who did it....I re-flagged my post for the 2nd time telling the admin that I wanted my post deleted, in less than a minute, my post was deleted...I felt relieved.....I really don't want to hurt people's feeling here.....especially the nice people...

Take care!!! Best wishes always!!! Relax!!

Be careful, if IC's traffic

by benross on

Be careful, if IC's traffic flow drops, JJ may blame you! :O))

You are probably right! all I was trying to do was to get JJ off the hook about that one million dollar offer! What JJ knows is as limited as what a hacker can get for free.

Worse come to worst, all these scary thoughts will be deleted and that's okay with me.

Dear Bijan,

Thank you for the encouraging words. You have lifted up my spirit!  Before I go to heaven, I got to go to Iran for sure. after that, if I am brave enough, I will do a photo essay on IC. I have done my homework and I know Iran is super beautiful and people are great:

//www.pbase.com/k_amj/throughout_iran&page=all

Mr. Major seems to be super-prepared! I asked him at point-blank twice if he blogs from Iran, he never answered my question.....well, he did not deny it either....so I will draw my own conclusion.

Thank you for your blog and effort. May God bless you!

Hi Benross,

Thank you so much for your post!!! I did a lot of anti-IRI stuff, I signed many petitions with my real name (For Maziar Bahari's release, stop executions in Iran, etc...) and I e-mailed Iran's UN ambassador, Mohammad Khazaee, for Roxana Saberi's release, I used my real name, too. I am not sure if the guy read my petition or recorded my name....I hope not.....I am going to start to lay low....

Thank you again for your long post and your comforting words! I hope other people feel comforted by your words. Be careful, if IC's traffic flow drops, JJ may blame you! :O))

One thing I disagree with you is that I don't think IC is a social site. :O) IC is way more sophisticated than that! I see a lot of patriotic Iranians here, a lot of them! You are definitely one of them!

Take care!

Dear Yolanda

No need to panic. IRR has enough on its plate that you and I have nothing to worry about. You can chill out now. Let's plan to go to Iran together. I was there 3 years ago after 28 years. While I could recognize many streets and landmarks, it was hard for me to relate to people on the streets (I was too much of a paranoid person).

From the cab drivers, to store keepers to street vendors, all talk politics. From my limited exposure, I find it hard to believe that people are content with a different form of theocracy. All I remember is griping about sharia laws. I was shocked how openly and how fearlessly people were criticizing the islamic republic. That's why i WHOLEHEARTEDLY dispute Sargord's claim about "political mainstream".

Continue on your plans to visit Iran. I promise you will love it. People are extremely hospitable, and sceneries are to die for (everywhere you go)

benross

Dear Yolanda

by benross on

I guess I scared you and many others!

This is an educated guess. I am in no position to know anything. On the other hand, you should not take it as alarmist as it sounds. This is only a social web site. It has no political agenda. People participating in this site express their opinions. IRI has much more serious issues -inside Iran- than dealing with this. Particularly you Yolanda, such a sweet and inoffensive person, what are you worried about?

The fact of the matter is, IRI being what it is, even if you never have been a member of IC, and travelled to Iran, nobody could guarantee you a safe return. The risk for you Yolanda -if any- is in the nature of this regime. Not your membership in IC.

The information that a hacker from IRI can retrieve from IC has a very limited value. It's not like the one U.S I assume can collect. In order for IRI to complete an information, they have to focus on a specific information and trace it for a long time. In other word, they have to be very very selective. Even so, this part of the task, meaning the completion of a piece of information may well be out of their reach. Because it needs a base with well trained personnel outside of Iran which will not remain unnoticed by security branchs of other governments.

So the IRI part of my educated guess sounded much more alarmist than what it really is. I apologize for that.

I don't think IRI feels threatened by you dear, to go to such extend -even if it could- just because sometimes you said 'oh that's not too nice'.

Hi Benross,

Are you serious that US government has IC members' names and addresses?

I like to visit Iran one day, but I also want to come back..I have been condemning IRI everything from killing horses to killing people..... I guess I am black-listed by IRI, too!

thanks,

Did you have a chance to read the blogs? I know you are a well read muslim (note that I didn’t call you Islamist). I’m just curious to see where you stand with regards to “political mainstream”. Are you a sarvan in that department or a sepahbod?

benross

You can be sure that

by benross on

You can be sure that homeland security of U.S already has the full name and address of all IC members! (excluding from inside Iran) And as you know, It doesn't need to ask JJ or offer any money. And they will deny having such information!

A good hacker from IRI also can break into the site and retrieve IPs. So there also, there is not much hope for JJ to get some money. We are alive because we don't matter. The one that matters (RP) has body guards.

I hope this calm your paranoia Sag jan!

Bijan A M

One more obvious

by Bijan A M on

There may be many expats with extended family in Iran who are politically indifferent. They are enjoying a democracy (which they take it for granted), and have no opinion whether a theocracy can achieve what they are enjoying now. This group could be a supporter of change in Iran (and overthrow of IRR).

The rush of pro IRR is to destabilize this group (What I called the “borderline”). To stop unity amongst the opposition, IRR’s primary goal in confronting them is to stop any form of cohesion. The secular movement’s main goal should be to send messages that will unite democracy lovers. WE NEED to find identifiable leader or leaders.

You have a point here. I thought this kind of demonstration was not necessary. If you think it is, so be it. But it also divert the discussions toward a united goal. My concern is here. Their objective too.

I don’t mean to drag the obvious…

by Bijan A M on

Open debates are always welcome. Isn’t that what our youths are risking their lives for (open debate)? All we are asking is the right to voice our views. Give us the room to propagate our secular principles.  If the majority of our nation condemned it, then you win. Our people have picked theocracy over democracy. If that happens, then my generation and the next few generations have to wait for a true freedom. That only means we are not ready yet. This has nothing to say what the world will do to deal with the beast.

They know the debate. They know the argument. Why do you think they come here in the first place? A change of heart? A doubt about what they believed so far? If there is any of 'switchers' I certainly welcome the debate.

But these guys are professionals. They come here with a mission. It's good to have them around, to attract the bugs I'd say.

My dear SK

by Bijan A M on

agreed....but, it still remains a mystery why all-of-a-sudden so many open supporters of IRR on this site? My theory, (conspiracy or not) is that IRR is feeling the influence of cyber space and foreign dissidents and has sent these foot soldiers to neutralize the effects the best they can.

I'm sure they will fail. This tidal wave is unstopable.
