Why the Silence on Iranian.com

Why the Silence on Iranian.com

I have been wondering the past few days (definitely in the last 48
hours) the reason for the lack of interaction and comments between the
readers...

Is the reason the cause of the recent executions in Iran? Have people
become depressed and have lost faith in their desire for better change?

Has Iranian.com been blocked by IRI? Although from what I have heard and seen, a lot of the readers live outside of Iran.

Has it Finally hit the Iranian people that the so called leadership in this revolution is still talking about Islamic Iran?

Is it clear for what reason people are protesting and giving their
lives for? Is it for Human Rights? Women's Rights? Their lost votes to
another leader from the same background? Is it for a democratic Iran?

Is the silence the reason for people finally waking up and realizing
that they are following in their parent's footsteps of repeating the
unsuccessful revolution of the past 3 decades?

i wasn't aware that there was a downturn in comments in the past few days.  i think that my activity and and level engagement has stayed the same if not increased. if you've some statistics on i.com activity, i'd like to know the trend.  the executions were just another shock to my system and a confirmation on how the thugs who run iran have no value for human life.  just the term mohareb (war with god) explains how ridiculous and at the same time horrifying the mindset of these people are.

I feel stunned by brutal murders last week

Hello.  I am an American of Iranian freedom.  I am stunned by the two brutal murders last week.  It's hard for me to think of much else.  Please be assured that me and other Americans are taking action for Iranian people and we are strategizing on how best to help you.  We haven't forgotten you, and we promise we will not abandon you under any circumstances.

Death to islam and the IRI.  Freedom belongs to the good people of Persia, without the presence of the A-rabs and their backward religion.

Well,

First, we need to give the people of Iran a bit more credit.

- They are smart enough to know that to reach their goals, they may need to entertain the likes of mousavi or akhund karoubi. This does not mean they want the theocracy to continue.

- It is a cheerful thought o think that overnight we can convert a nation where Islam and its tenticles have penetrated every god damn aspect of culture and society for 1400 years  -  change may need to be gradual.

In any case, I beleive that people have now recongnized the mullahs and the "philosophy" they represent. They will not be fooled agian...I hope.

Referring to your response below

"1. People are aware that the current movement is aimed at getting rid
of the theocracy, not replacing the paaloon! Those you refer to as
"leader" are nothing but another bunch of mullahs,. i.e. same crap as
the last 30 years."

This is my point that you have grasped yet am not sure that others (speciallythe people in Iran) have realized when they call upon Karobi and Mousavi and carry their pictures in the streets.

What?

by Cost-of-Progress on

Dooste aziz, unless you're an old poster with a new username, you have been around for only a week, right? I am not sure what you're referring to, but there's always lots of "dialogue" going on wrt current events in Iran. However, in reply to your inquiry, here's my 2 cents:

1. People are aware that the current movement is aimed at getting rid of the theocracy, not replacing the paaloon! Those you refer to as "leader" are nothing but another bunch of mullahs,. i.e. same crap as the last 30 years.

2. It's the weekend, so people are busy with other stuff, I gather.

And, can you explain this:

"Is the silence the reason for people finally waking up and realizing
that they are following in their parent's footsteps of repeating the
unsuccessful revolution of the past 3 decades?"

See No. 1 above.

BTW, most of the posters and bloggers here are either in US or Europe, Down Under. I don't know if I.com is even active in Iran, (something about lack of freedom of speech and expression.....).

Peerooz Baash.
