On this date in 1997, Diana, Princess of Wales, died in a car crash along with Dodi Al-Fayed, and their driver, Henri Paul. There is no shortage of rumors and speculation on the circumstances and causes of their deaths. One thing is certain to me: if they had survived the accident and the love affair between the promiscuous British princess and the Arab/Muslim playboy had ended in a lasting marriage, Dodi could have pushed for Eid al-Fitr as a national holiday in England.  Happy Eid al-Fitr to all..........
