AO jan , really don't want to burst your bubble but
by Hoshang Targol on Wed Oct 20, 2010 02:07 PM PDTtrust me when I tell you, on a first hand basis I KNOW everyone who was in that historical demo was of Iranian decent.
What you basically had on that day was a competition amongst five different Iranian students organization, each of which trying to show others and the world who was the most radical of all. DC police was kind of really exasperated and kept asking why can't we all just form one group, so they could deal with one party instead of five!
A lot of them weren't even Iranians
by Anonymous Observer on Wed Oct 20, 2010 01:51 PM PDTA lot of the people who harassed the Shah on his visits to the U.S. weren't even Iranians. I have a Palestinian-Israeli friend who told me once that he and a bunch of his Palestinian friends were amongst the protesters on Shah's visit to the U.S. When I asked him what was their motivation, he said that it was Shah's support for Israel.
BTW, and ironically, this guy makes his comfortable living in the U.S. off of the rental income of his multiple real estate investments in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. :-)
Historical Accuracy
by Hoshang Targol on Wed Oct 20, 2010 08:20 AM PDTBBC and practically all Western media ( especially after the Guadallop conference) WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN PROPELING KHOMEINI AND HIS ILK TO POWER, the exact same way they are currently promoting and giving coverage to Ganjis & " Greens" and all "accepted opposition" to IR.
Many of those student went back, most of them didn't. I know at least a handful of the ones that went back, who are still in there.
Iranian students' " violence" was only a response to the institutionalized violence of SAVAK and all the rest, don't get it mixed up!
I fully agree with DK's comments about "Q"
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Wed Oct 20, 2010 08:50 AM PDT"Q" needs to learn that this is not the islamist Iran and people have the right to express their opinions without having to put up with his constant stream of personal insults, attacks, accusations and threats to "report" and "block". Somebody needs to teach "Q" some manners.
I am frankly surprised that people like "Q" , after living in the west for so many years do not comprehend concepts such as democracy and free speach.
"Personal business must yield to collective interest."
Historical Irony
by Faramarz on Wed Oct 20, 2010 07:56 AM PDTGreat Picture DK.
It is quite ironic that the leftist students in the picture who are swarming the poor guy and were instrumental in Khomeini’s rise to power were the ones that later on were detained, tortured and killed by the I.R. And some of those who survived left and sought refuge with Sadam and the rest are back in the west living happily ever after!
There are so many of these Islamists
by mahmoudg on Wed Oct 20, 2010 07:50 AM PDTbrainwashed morons out there now, that just chasing them away will not do. The only solution is a series of surgical attacks on their bases to cleanse them.
So your spell checker is working again Q?
by Farah Rusta on Wed Oct 20, 2010 03:27 AM PDTBut I see your grammar still sucks Q joon! Just a couple examples:
"you want a good sport?" instead of "you want to be a good sport?" and a more laughable one: "without me mentioning his name" instead of "without my mentioning his name".
How is the wedding-Foto!! business Q? Still haunted by Parkhash (LOL)?
FR
Learn from this people
by Parthianshot91 on Tue Oct 19, 2010 11:49 PM PDTSee what people did back then to the people who were supporting a specific government? Iranian people should be doing the same to islamists and their sympathizers whenever they catch them supporting this regime, and atleast our action will be justified.

Kadivar, you want a good sport?
by Q on Tue Oct 19, 2010 07:25 PM PDTYou say:
To begin with He Flags people which I rarely if never do
Here's a question to you:
DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT FLAG AT LEAST 3 OF MY COMMENTS ON THIS THREAD TODAY all of which were removed?
If I'm wrong on this, I would gladly apologize to you. But unfortunately for you, I know you very well. I know for example, what a liar you are.
Please Javid, clarify, so I can apologize to dear DK.
PS. DK attacked me for my comment about "maroon" with bugs bunny, without me mentioning his name, or anything about "defamation". He's simply too senile to see straight anymore.
In conclusion, Javid
by Q on Tue Oct 19, 2010 07:43 PM PDTIt is Kadivar who is and has been getting away with insults and unprovoked attacks. In this case, he clearly started attacking me, then he flagged for no reason (presumably "being provacative? lecturing to others?", what a joke!) and he got his way when you actually do his bidding.
As I told you earlier, I fully accept if you want to give blogger the right to delete any comment they want. I would have taken these to my own blog, had that happened. But since you don't have that policy, it's completely unfair just to act on Kadivar's baseless accusations.
SPink Jaan actually Contrary to Q at least you are Fair play
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Oct 19, 2010 07:19 PM PDTI actually admire your sense of humor and intellect (however the result of inexplicable post war trauma and collateral damages no doubt ) despite the fact that we are at opposite ends of the Political Spectrum ...
But Q is Anything but a Good Sport. To begin with He Flags people which I rarely if never do and was even banned for two weeks last year for responding to his defamation blog which he keeps bringing up on every occasion to justify his reccurent and provocative attitude.
I couldn't care less if I was allowed to respond back and most probably would simply ignore him if that was the case.
But here it is a case of abuse due to the empowerment he feels by being immune to any form of moderation where as he was able to relish seeing me banned for two weeks for merely trying to defend my reputation.
You at least have my respect be it on one thing: Your Fair Play in the face of many personal attacks from all sides including mine.
For That ONLY I salute You for showing a Bold Face !
So for the One and Only TIme let me Salute Your Spirit of Chivalry (Albeit too Islamized to my taste) :

by AntiMozakhraf on Tue Oct 19, 2010 07:12 PM PDTThe comments on the blog are (or were!) either from Sargord or Q. The rest were just attacks on Sargord and Q. Ask yourself where your blog would be without them!
If I were you I would send them each a Thank You note for investing their time here to leave comments on your blog. I don't see a whole lotta people falling over themselves to do that you know ;)
Have another one on the rocks...the night is young.
oh Kadivar.... here are some FACTS, for Javid
by Q on Tue Oct 19, 2010 07:17 PM PDT#1. I did not talk to Kadivar or even acknowledge his presence. He attacked me with his usual "MonQ" WITHOUT any provocation. If you listen to his own words just below:, he admits I said nothing to him.
The discussion was on the word "maroon". This is what I wrote:

better expression: "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing"
by Q on Tue Oct 19, 2010 04:19 PM PDT
Of course, it may not apply to this situation since we're -- as usual -- dealing with multiple complete idiots so "little knowledge" would be too generous.
So blinded by hate, so eager to lecture others and compensate for their own intellectual and cultural insecurities, they will jump head first into any ditch at their own expense!

#2 My response and subsequent posts are all deleted because of Kadivar's flagging.
It's obvious, he is just BSing about any "confrontation". He attacked me first, and he didn't like the way I linked to his previous vigilante behavior here: //iranian.com/main/blog/q/case-study-defa...
#3 You deleted my response again, even though it had no profanity or cursing or anything. Now, you have said in the past, this may be because of yur system deletes "responses" too. If that's true, it should not be deleted this time:

No point in engaging you any further. I think from IQ you have inherited only the Q part and not the I part.
DK jan, that's because I understand the concept of homonyms. Do you?
Wait, why are you "addressing" me all of a sudden? Didn't you say on multiple occasions you're not "supposed to address me"?
Of course, how could I forget? You are still a self-absorbed hypocrite.
Iranian.com - A site for IRI?
by Iran Paidar 1st on Tue Oct 19, 2010 07:06 PM PDTI have witnessed many times that on this site many comments posted in response to some individuals (IRI Supporters) get deleted even though there is no profanity in them while these individuals comments laced with profanity stay posted. That causes me to doubt the impartiality of this site. Is this site becoming the mouthpiece for IRI supporters? Is this site bought out?
I would be under impression that in fact that is the case unless the management of this site tells me why my last comment was deleted.

You Can't Shoot a Wabbit!
by Faramarz on Tue Oct 19, 2010 06:06 PM PDTOK, so Sargord a.k.a. Bill Shakespeare is now quoting cartoon characters!
Maybe too much time in front of the TV watching cartoons and not enough time learning the language, culture and history!
Here are a few other things that Bugs Bunny says. We might as well use them too!
"And remember, 'mud' spelled backwards is 'dum'."
"What an embezzle! What an ultramaroon!"
"Eh, what's up, doc? You can't shoot a wabbit."

That is how smart SARGORD PASDAR is ...
by Iran Paidar 1st on Tue Oct 19, 2010 03:20 PM PDTTo show you how smart the so called Sargord is, just look at how he has spelled the word "Moron." this is a guy who is supposedly half American and has spent most of his life in the west.
He later claims that "Maroon" is correct. Here see the definition for the word Maroon according to Webster Dictionary. It has nothing to do with the correct word "Moron."
1ma·roonnoun \mə-ˈrün\ Definition of MAROON 1 capitalized : a fugitive black slave of the West Indies and Guiana in the 17th and 18th centuries; also : a descendant of such a slave 2 : a person who is marooned

Anon, that's an old American
by Sargord Pirouz on Tue Oct 19, 2010 01:18 PM PDTAnon, that's an old American slang expression from the 1940s, for "moron". You can still see it used on vintage Looney Tunes cartoons, usually by Bugs Bunny.
That's true, it could get
by Sargord Pirouz on Tue Oct 19, 2010 01:16 PM PDTThat's true, it could get worse. Prior to Ashura last year, NAJA was instructed to stand down on the use of lethal force, even in life threatening situations. The police suffered as a result during the enduing Ashura rioting. However, during 22 Bahman, patrols were reinforced to company-sized level and that did the trick- injuries on both sides decreased markedly.
Mark, What's a "Maroon"?!!!
by Anonymous Observer on Tue Oct 19, 2010 01:14 PM PDTYou mean a "moron"? Gee, for someone who always wants to correct others, you can even spell a common characteristic of your bosses?
Yeah, back then there sure
by Sargord Pirouz on Tue Oct 19, 2010 12:51 PM PDTYeah, back then there sure were a lot of folks pissed at the Shah, his family and anyone stupid enough to be a supporter of that stooge-clown.
Remember when he locked up a selection of his own high ranking supporters, in a desperate attempt at appeasing all thise pissed off people? What a maroon! WHAT A MAROON!
Nowadays we laugh at the clownish stupidity, but back then the sheer, backstabbing stupidity was nothing short of astonishing.
That's what happens, though, when you're spineless, stupid and owe everything to a foreign power that's slipping the rug from under your feet.
