trust me when I tell you, on a first hand basis I KNOW everyone who was in that historical demo was of Iranian decent.

What you basically had on that day was a competition amongst five different Iranian students organization, each of which trying to show others and the world who was the most radical of all. DC police was kind of really exasperated and kept asking why can't we all just form one group, so they could deal with one party instead of five!

A lot of them weren't even Iranians

A lot of the people who harassed the Shah on his visits to the U.S. weren't even Iranians.  I have a Palestinian-Israeli friend who told me once that he and a bunch of his Palestinian friends were amongst the protesters on Shah's visit to the U.S.  When I asked him what was their motivation, he said that it was Shah's support for Israel.

BTW, and ironically, this guy makes his comfortable living in the U.S. off of the rental income of his multiple real estate investments in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. :-)  

Historical Accuracy

BBC and practically all Western media ( especially after the Guadallop conference) WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN PROPELING KHOMEINI AND HIS ILK TO POWER, the exact same way they are currently promoting and  giving coverage to Ganjis & " Greens" and all "accepted opposition" to IR.

Many of those student went back, most of them didn't. I know at least a handful of the ones that went back, who are still in there.

Iranian students' " violence" was only a response to the institutionalized violence of SAVAK and all the rest, don't get it mixed up!

I fully agree with DK's comments about "Q"

 "Q" needs to learn that this is not the islamist Iran and people have the right to express their opinions without having to put up with his constant stream of personal insults, attacks, accusations and threats to "report" and  "block". Somebody needs to teach "Q" some manners.

It is Kadivar who is and has been getting away with insults and unprovoked attacks. In this case, he clearly started attacking me, then he flagged for no reason (presumably "being provacative? lecturing to others?", what a joke!) and he got his way when you actually do his bidding.

As I told you earlier, I fully accept if you want to give blogger the right to delete any comment they want. I would have taken these to my own blog, had that happened. But since you don't have that policy, it's completely unfair just to act on Kadivar's baseless accusations.

I actually admire your sense of humor and intellect (however the result of inexplicable post war trauma and collateral damages no doubt ) despite the fact that we are at opposite ends of the Political Spectrum ...

But Q is Anything but a Good Sport. To begin with He Flags people which I rarely if never do and was even banned for two weeks last year for responding to his defamation blog which he keeps bringing up on every occasion to justify his reccurent and provocative attitude.

I couldn't care less if I was allowed to respond back and most probably would simply ignore him if that was the case.

But here it is a case of abuse due to the empowerment he feels by being immune to any form of moderation where as he was able to relish seeing me banned for two weeks for merely trying to defend my reputation.

Iranian.com - A site for IRI?

I have witnessed many times that on this site many comments posted in response to some individuals (IRI Supporters) get deleted even though there is no profanity in them while these individuals comments laced with profanity stay posted.  That causes me to doubt the impartiality of this site. Is this site becoming the mouthpiece for IRI supporters? Is this site bought out?

I would be under impression that in fact that is the case unless the management of this site tells me why my last comment was deleted.
