It is not a big deal to me, but can I just say I was not the only one that thought the timing was not great. What is clear is that majority of males here have the passe sense of humour/ politics with regards t owomen which is now extinct, a bit like Benny Hill fans. You can see it in many comments, and they stick together and support each other. By way of truce I attach a representative piece. Thank you for your comment.  :)

Dear Truthseeker9 and DK .....

I was reading a moment ago Azadeh Azad's blog on why she was leaving IC, and I came across the link to this blog that was in the comment section of her blog in the exchanges between the two of you:

I generally don't like to defend DK - I believe that his beliefs and idealogies of restoring the Monrachy in Iran are misguided, archaic, and in the words of many, an issue belonging to the world of fantasy-land -

For a long time, I used to criticize his blogs on Monarchy, and pointed out, on a regular basis, to the weaknesses and frivoilties inherent in his arguments - I really did that because I noticed that he was acting  in quite a mean and unreasonable way towards others who didn't agree with him - By that I mean, those who believed in a Secular-Democracy (Republican) form of government for the future of our Beloved Iran - 

However, I have come to believe that DK, although misguided, and perhaps even a bit childish and immature in his ways, but is doing all of this support-writings for the Pahlavis as some form of a duty of some kind - Even though, as I have indicated, a bit sophomoric in nature, and unfortunately, unprofessional at that -

I have also heard from others who know DK more closely that he is being supported financialyy either directly by the Pahlavis, or through their supporters and friends - However, I've no proof to offer for that -

And, dear Truthseeker9, I don't think DK meant in malice what he is saying in this blog, but more towards fun, although highly Insensitive, as you indicated, and more so Politically  Incorrect at that - Sometimes back, he shared this very Politically Incorrect video with me on Facebook - This is a video by the great British Comedian Harry Enfield - First, I was somewhat shocked by its Political Incorrectness - And then, when I got over that, had a good laugh:

What I'm trying to say here, hopefully to both of you, is not to take such matters too seriously - As they say, "Life Is Indeed Too Short" - Make The Best Of It :)
