Very informative confessions
by Azadeh Azad on Sat Feb 27, 2010 08:55 PM PSTDear Darius,
These are extraordinary videos. Thank you for posting them.
Ehsan Soltani, a mid-ranking information officer of Sepah-e Pasdarn, escaped from Iran 18 months ago and sought asylum in the West. He has valuable information about the functioning of the Basij and Sepah organisations.
These are some of the facts he is revealing:
After the Iran-Iraq War, Basij and Sepah were divided into three groups:
1) Mahdaviyyat thoughts (Mesbah Yazdi, Morteza Rezaii,Ahmadi-Nejad etc.)
2) Honest fundamentalists who want to serve people but don’t get good jobs, those who went to the War Front, and young generation of Basijis who are mostly against the regime.
3) Setaad-e Moshtarek: They are the economic Mafia of Iran, thieves and traitors who have their hands on Iranian economy. They are in charge of drug and arms traffics as well as the traffic of girls to Dubai in cooperation with the Iranian (read Islamic) Navy.

Are there any actual photos provided of this man in IRGC uniform? What was his rank? Unit? Detailed war record?
I'm interested.
