You quoted a very good anectode by Arhaam. He was not working in the ministry of finance Isfahan branch. He was actually the head of Bimeh-e Melli Iran, Isfahan branch

Absolutely right Darius Jaan

by anglophile on

Arham was far too intelligent to get himself into a sticky position. If I remember rightly he was a civil servant working in the ministry of finance Isfahan branch. I am sure he was far too clever to be fooled by any politcian, including and specifically Mossadegh.

Thanks for the blog and its French title :)

Great Anecdote anglophile Jan ;0)

Good One  and such a witty answer from Sadre.

Mind you did you notice in this footage he subtly tried not to mention anything in regard to the Shah's regime and hence avoided making negative comments or taking a clear anti Pahlavi Stance.

He merely mentions that Pro Mossadeghis and communists were demonstrating in those days and that he just made a comment on his daily radio show in support of the people's right and Mossadegh as a "Gahremaneh Melli" before other people came to fetch him without truly mentioning who ( the Military ? The Cia ? Shaban Beemokh etc ) ...

I believe This documentary was made during the Khatami years when the mullah regime and reformists were trying to lure in the exiles back home by trying not to open old scars.

This only shows what a loveable character and human being Sardre was in the hearts and minds of Iranians across the political spectrum.

As for the events of 53 blown out of proportion for the past half century by our usual suspects ( aka Mossadeghollahis, Lefties, Melli Mazhabis and co ) I am sure Sadre would have endorsed this French translation of the title of Shakespeare's famous Play:

"Beaucoup de Bruit Pour Rien"
