10-Mar-2012

Respected French Stage and Screen actor Francis Huster expresses outrage at the American president’s indifference towards to plight of the Syrian people saying his inaction is a Licence to Kill.

Adding if it were a Kennedy or De Gaulle they would have not allowed the bloodshed to continue as it is with total impunity.

Program Aired on French First Channel One (TF1, 23rd February, 2012)

Transcript Translated in English:

Francis Huster: “What is taking in Syria … and I would like to say here that I am shocked by what I am seeing to think that if John Kennedy was here or De Gaulle these great men wouldn’t have allowed these crimes to take place. Personally I have to say that each day that passes the less I think of Barak Obama as the “great” man he has been presented to us in the medias. As for Putin on the other side …

Journalist

'Audrey Crespo-Mara: Yes but with a Putin and Chinese Premiere blocking the slightest resolution what would you expect De Gaulle or Kennedy would have done ?”

Francis Huster: “But frankly what is the President of the United States waiting to go into Syria ?, If he can’t make it who will ? He is the only one who can do something but he has decided to remain idle. No Truly the Europeans are trying to push things forward and particularly I salute French foreign Minister Alain Juppé for his commendable efforts but all this reminds me of the Civil  War in Spain where Western Democracies remained idle. I am truly worried that we are on a brink of a Real war to come”

Kennedy addresses the nation on the Cuban Missile Crisis :

13 Days - United Nations Security Council :

As part of the American strategy to rally the international community behind their actions against Cuba, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Adlai Stevenson, goes to the Security Council meeting to make the case for the U.S. embargo on Cuba and to prove the existance of ballistic missiles threatening a great part of the country.

Ambassador Stevenson delivers one of the best speeches the UN has ever heard and pratically destroys the soviet ambassador's strategy of denial.

Here, we see a reenactment of that meeting in the movie "13 Days".

Syrians to Obama: Waiting for election day to act 'unacceptable'

Opposition calls on Obama to act now (cnn)

The head of a prominent Syrian opposition group says U.S. President Barack Obama should take greater action on Syria and not be worried about whether the "right decision" will hurt Obama's re-election campaign.

The plea comes after more than 200 people were reportedly massacred in the Syrian town of Tremseh -- the deadliest day in Syria's 16-month crisis -- and as activists reported the heaviest clashes yet in Damascus.

World cools towards Barack Obama - according to survey

World cools towards Obama - poll (bbc)

International approval of US President Barack Obama's foreign policy has dropped sharply during his term in office, a Pew Research survey suggests.

Among the 21 countries surveyed, the largest drop in approval - from 57% to 27% - was seen in China, the Global Attitudes Project reveals.

Most respondents in almost all countries opposed US drone strikes.

Despite these numbers, confidence in Mr Obama remains high among US allies, especially in Europe.

Is intervention in Syria possible and how would it be done?

by Darius Kadivar on

Military options (bbc) By Jonathan Marcus

Since the outset of the Syria crisis in March 2011 there has been little appetite for outside military intervention. This has been based on two assessments.

Firstly, that the situation on the ground in Syria is in many ways very different from that in Libya - the opposition is much more divided, the government's security forces are much stronger, and Syria's air defences are more effective.

Secondly, there has been a view that the implications of toppling President Bashar al-Assad could prompt a much wider wave of instability in the region.

Unlike Libya, Syria - both politically and geographically - is a central player in the Arab world, and sectarianism and instability there could threaten both Lebanon and Iraq.

Why Obama Won't Act Against Syria

by HHH on

1. Obama is just a temporary employee of the real Zio-Nazi bosses so he won't do anything that might endanger them in Israel & Europe.

2. Russia has given a red-line to US not to cross & that red-line is attacking Iran or Syria their allies, so Russia will not vote for NATO attack & US won't attack alone & if it does it will face Russian backfire & possible WWIII.

To maintain power-balance Russia, China and N. Korea will keep Iran/Syria on their side this way US/UK/France/Germany will never dare attacking them as they plan to(By building 700+ bases)
