Marjane Satrapi author/director of the book and film adaptation of Persepolis was honored last February with a Doctorate conferred by the Prestigious Belgian University: UCL ( L’Université Catholique de Louvain). In absentia due to an unfortunate illness ( probably a cold) she was represented by her Swedish husband Mattias Riba who accepted the Award on her behalf.
