French Journalist Christine Ockrent gives her account of the fatal interview which was said to be greatly responsible for the Shah's Prime Minister Amir Abbas Hoveyda's execution.

Christine Ockrent interviewed on French Talk Show “On est pas Couché” by Host Roland Ruquier and columnist’s Eric Zeymour and journalist Michel Polac ( who was once married to a family member of Hoveyda’s family and lived two years in Iran in the early 1970’s):

You can make your own judgment

by Alborzi (not verified) on

Its very subjective, your value of the revolution, It had many different aspects for different actors, just like the French revolution, it will eventually lead to a more democratic system. It is tragic to see how this man was thrown to wolves by his master and it seemed he was bitter about his own choices.

Wash youself and Think..

by Setiz (not verified) on

Wash yourself of all prejudices, all hatred, all emotions, and all your ideology so that you can be FREE to think and judge like as free soul...

And then ask yourself... Was the revolution and what came in the 30 years after that good for iran and iranians... and who benefited from that fraud and deceit... iran or someone else?

The answer should be quite clear by so many metrics... I only mention two...

Khomeini killed more persons in one single day in evin than shah killed everywhere by any means from 1963 to 1979 (excluding those killed during the revolution)... What did all those innocent youth sacrificed their lives for?

Iranian Oil revenue in 2008 is expected to surpass what total cumulative iranian oil revenue was for all years prior to 1979 (with no adjustment for inflation)... but no-one knows where that money goes and what tangible impact it has on the disastrous situation of people in iran. Who benefits from all that revenue?

of course she was rude

The French were there to take Shah away under the auspicious of the British and replace Khomeini to control the oil and to disassemble Soviet Union. Why should we think that Hoveyda meant anything to them?

Later French Air Force helped Saddam and sent top French pilots to Iraq to fly the sorties to bomb Iran.

French has contributes substantially to the success of the Islamic Republic.

But that is not the end of it. The innocent, poor and kind nation of Iran will continue to suffer under the Anglo-French-US-Russia-China alliance.

At the end allow me to say that Canada is nothing more than a colony of the British. India is still nothing more than a servant.
