I came across this report in the BBC which mentions that Russians are commemorating the 90th anniversary of the assassination of Tsar Nicholas II and his family. It is interesting how mentalities have changed radically in Russia in regard to the Tzarist Royal Era.
I wonder if the same will be true in Iran one day regarding the Last Shah ? ...
Up to everyone to draw their own conclusion.

Dariush, to ham maro
by kofri (not verified) on Fri Jul 18, 2008 03:56 AM PDTDariush, to ham maro gerefti! Aazadi will give all of us the same chance to celebrate/mourn whoever and whatever! As long as it's not going to be part of "national" mandetory! (like sheshom bahman or ertehali Day, there is a great joke about it I'll add it at the end)
now the joke that was in SMS format and during Khomani's gor be gor shodan period, try to remember sedaye nahsesh o farsi harf zadanesh keh hale mano ro be ham mizad. "nabashad keh ma ertehal konim o shoma eshgh o hal, dow rooz ra tateel nemodeh beravid be shomal. Happy Ertehali Day"
This kind of jokes proves that no body can force people to celebrate or mourn!!

More of the truth will come out
by Mehdi on Thu Jul 17, 2008 05:15 PM PDTShah will probably have some acknowledgement. Or at least it will be better clarified who he was and what REALLY happened, as opposed to all the falsehood that has been spread about him.
Not whith DK as a monarchist!
by botshekan (not verified) on Thu Jul 17, 2008 02:59 PM PDTDear Kadivar
I guess the only person who would mourn the Shah will be you IN PARIS :o))
If all monarchists be like you, we should wait another 90 years to mourn the guy in Tehran :o)
Only takes time...
by ThePope on Thu Jul 17, 2008 01:29 PM PDTbut it will happen. Hopefully not 90 years but it will happen. Time itself will prove and fix lots of things.
By the way the ulgy Khomeini predicted his stupid regime will rule 80 years!
Thanks for sharing this report.
