Guess who made the following statement (in the context of Iran and US meetings/discussions):

by didani

The discussions did not target peace between the two countries. The discussions were held mainly not to achieve peace, but prevent the threats of war. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei agreed only for this format of discussions, because Iranian revolution remains to be of anti-American nature. This ideology was and remains the basis of the Iranian government. To change this long and strong ideology Iran should step back its basic principles. However, it would mean to change the essence of Iranian government and there is no any precondition in Iran to take such step.

And here is one of the only times that I'm in agreement with his statement.
