Iranian born wrestler Farzad Tarash lost his first and only match in the 60KG Freestyle on Saturday.
He fought well, but his Korean opponent got the better of him, despite a close match.
He was the only Australian wrestler in the games and talked about the difficulties of being in such a position. He even had to train in Iran with good spirit, but received very little of the money Australian government had allocated for the Olympics.
Australia should do more to support its atheletes.
A hearty solute to my Iranian of the day: Farzad Tarash.
