New York times in arguably one of its most disgusting, self contradictory, imperialistic, hypocritical editorials of all time has called for fixing the NPT (Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty) and of course IRAN is at the center of it!
If anything this kind of editorials are indication, it's "time to fix NYTIMES editors"! I mean, at least have some shame! Never mind honesty and dignity, at least be intelligent enough to try hiding your ulterior motives!
Do these clowns really think in this age of human rights, equal rights, "animal rights!", democracy, Internet, etc, they are capable of convincing people of Brazil, Japan, Egypt, and hundreds of others to kiss the nukes good bye while without any trace of shame whatsoever in an audacious and blatant manner 5 countries that have accessed these weapons earlier have carved a special place for themselves as "permanent" members of UN security council with vetoing power over the will of majority of the nations in the world!! Not to mention the obvious rule of jungle and "might makes right" attitude that is demonstrated by the club members on a daily basis in world's politics!
As you can see in the link below these clowns in an effort to address the perils of a nuclear world stretch beyond their wit just to recommend only a "reduction" in the nuclear arsenal of US & Russia! Last time I checked there is no such thing as killing someone "half time"! By the absurd proposal of reduction in such weapons superpowers get to destroy the world ten thousand times over instead of hundred thousands! To hear this kind of nonsense from a politician is different than from "intelligent", "intellectual" editors of the most circulated, prized news paper
in a country that prides itself as the "beacon" of justice and democracy!
Here are a couple of nuggets from the editor's wisdom: " A strong call for the United States and Russia to quickly begin negotiations on deeper weapons reductions...
A requirement that states that do not already make their own nuclear fuel stay out of the fuel business...
Egypt, which leads the Nonaligned Movement, is also playing games by pressing for a nuclear-weapons-free zone in the Middle East that seeks to force Israel to give up its nuclear arsenal. That is not going to happen any time soon."
See how shameless and condescending was the last statement. I have one word for the editors: "Screw you"!
My hunch is this proliferation would continue until such day that there are enough countries have it so the "big" brothers decide its time to get rid of'em all! between now and then lets hope we are not going to have a couple of fire works!
Here is the "Editorial": Fixing the Treaty

The news/NY Times
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Mon May 10, 2010 07:52 AM PDTThe NY Times is bankrupt to prove it. Washington Post is busy trying to sell of its crappy newspapers that even Fareed Zakaraiah couldn't save with his terrible "columns."
The washington times actually had a violent outburst in its offices LOL.
What we know is not even what is reality. So this editorial is nothing. They NY Times is not even a front. The stuff we really need to know is only to be found out 10 years later. We have two wars to prove it here in the USA. The NY Times pushed the Iraq war like a horny old man in a strip club who wants to go all the way.
Thank you Mola =)
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Sun May 09, 2010 03:31 PM PDTI'm not even a "supporter" of IRI, but this whole "Iran Strategy Issue" is clear as 1+1 = 2. If it weren't atomic stuff, it would be something else. As long as they can't get their hands on Iran, the west and it's stupid multinationals (farming, banking, defense, YOU NAME IT) will not give up.

It always starts with as scare tactic. one has to have a strong "Bullshit Detector" to realize it right away. The editorial indicates:
"At a frightening time — when Iran and North Korea are defying the Security Council and pressing ahead with their nuclear programs, and terrorists are actively trying to buy or steal their own weapon — there has to be a law to make clear that proliferation will not be tolerated. The treaty is that law. But it is badly fraying."
And continues by the supposedly "great progress" reached by the Western Powers to curb nuclear weapons by downsizing the number of atomic bombs. It leaves tens of thousands of nuclear bombs in their hands while developing more potent and smaller ones. The editorial continues:
"President Obama has shown that he is willing to lead by example. He has downgraded the importance of nuclear arms, pledged to build no new weapons, and signed a new arms reduction treaty with Moscow. All five weapons states issued a useful joint statement pledging not to test a weapon and promising to cooperate with countries seeking peaceful nuclear energy programs."
I don't believe it. They are developing new "Smarter" nuclear arsenal. And finally it concludes with the defending Israel to keep all her nuclear bombs without any impunity. This is what the editorial concludes with:
"Egypt, which leads the Nonaligned Movement, is also playing games by pressing for a nuclear-weapons-free zone in the Middle East that seeks to force Israel to give up its nuclear arsenal. That is not going to happen any time soon. All states need to ante up and reverse the treaty’s slide. The world’s security depends on it."
So once more Israel is exempt from punishment, loss or fines. Yes Masta.
Marge: Happy Mother's Day.
The NPT is a scam. The country's in it don't follow it
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Sun May 09, 2010 02:47 PM PDTAnd they are only aiming to stop country's who don't take IMF and other gang banging banker money. NPT is not about nukes. If it were, Israel would be finished by now.
Iran can do whatever it wants. Sovereignty isn't gone yet, despite Mr. Bush's actions.
If Iran would just give up and take it in the butt from the world banks and other organizations who are lusting for control of its oil, this nuclear issue wouldn't be in the corporate news cycle on a daily basis. The west is so bankrupt and full of it that it has no other recourse than to put the spotlight on Iran.
Sarkozy is the main idiot in all of it. Since when does France get involved the way it has in the past year? Screw France. It's economy is dwindling too. Sarkozy is better at keeping mistresses than he is at politics.
Iran does a better job of sticking to the NPT than Israel OR USA does.
