Muslim Boxer Beats Jewish Boxer in Title Fight

The most important boxing news of the weekend was the WBA light-welterweight title fight between the devout Muslim title holder, Amir Khan of Bolton, UK and the challenger Dimitry Salita, the Star of David, Jewish boxer from New York. Amir Khan knocked out Salita in one minute.

This is how they should settle things in the Middle East.

I read in the newspapers that Dimitri talked alot of hot air and taunted Khan before the fight saying God was going to give him victory because he was a Jew. Infact i also read Rabbis were lining up blessing Dimitri saying God would give Victory to him because he was "kosher".    ~~it seems, in the end, God doesn't care much about boxing.

This fight was promoted as “The Battle of Faiths” by the media. That’s why I dragged the religion into it. Although it was no “Rumble in the Jungle” (Ali vs. Foreman), or “Thrilla in Manila” (Ali vs. Frazier).

Also, the Jewish boxer’s nickname is “Star of David”, and he played up the Muslim – Jewish thing. And with a name like Salita, you had to enjoy seeing him on his back

Dudes, I agree with "Cost of Progress". This has nothing to do with religion. Also Iran kocking Israel should not be viewed in terms of Islam / Jewdaism. Iran != Islam. We need to keep national interests separate from religion. Iran under the Mullahs is favoring Christian Armenia over Muslim Azarbayejan. Why: because of national interests. For Iran: religion divides; nationalism unites. We should pick our friends based on who they are not religion.

Dmitriy didn't belong in that ring. He was utterly defenseless out there. Amir was landing just about every punch. Dmitriy's fortunate the fight was stopped so early; he really could have gotten hurt.

Instead of boxing, we should "settle" things with taekwondo (only because we're really good at that!)

One was a better boxer than the other - Let's not make evertyhing about religion (I'll be the 1st to be guilty of that, of course!), still....................

The jewish dude was just more wimpy from the get go.

Wow! King Khan was super aggressive and dominated from the start....I am glad that both of them were not bloody!
