بررسی و نقد ِ قانون پیشنهادی مجازات ارتداد

در آستانۀ سال تازۀ به بررسی و نقد لائحۀ مجازات ارتداد خواهیم نشست. این لائحۀ پیشنهادی را مجلس هشتم مورد بررسی و رای قرار خواهد داد و با توجه به ساختار مجلس هشتم احتمال تصویب این لائحه بسیار زیاد است. در صورت تصویب و قانونی شدن، این قانون امنیت جانی ایرانیان را بیش از پیش در معرض خطر قرار خواهد داد.

آزادی وجدان و عقیده از اصول مهم جامعۀ امروزی جهانی است و تطبیق تام با منشور حقوق بشر دارد. پیشنهاد مجازات اعدام و حد شرعی مرگ برای تغییر عقیده واکنشی است به تنوع فکری و دینی ایرانیان و سرکوب هرگونه فعالیت فکری و سیاسی و اجتماعی که رائحۀ دگراندیشی را بدهد.

Bahais believe that without truthfulness progress in not possible.
A university entrance for the price of denying your own belief is no bargain any human being can make today. And in the long run such deal would prove to be of no value to the individual or society.
This requires closer examination for those who value self determination and understand its implications, over anything else.
People like Yasmin are among the guardians of human dignity and teach us both the means and the end.
What Yasmin and like her do today is more valuable collectively for Iran in the long run than any individual ambition that start from self and end with self.
Individuals who do not stand for their beliefs cant simply have one since they forgo of their rights as a human being to choose.
Souls like Yasmin serve as a beacon for humanity. Neither the carrot or the stick will convince one to deny the truth. Perhaps it is that valuable, it is gold in the eyes of the goldsmith and nothing to the layman.
They courageously teach us that to choose is not only a right but to uphold ones belief is a responsibily and without it choosing is meaningless. ***
Using Aniston's statement in this context is similar to stating that, no matter how many times one applieds the theory of relativity they still get the same results!
We are getting results from our non-violent and peaceful and civil efforts, but IRI is a slow process even in the eyes of the world. You will agree if you consider the progress, the alternatives and examples on all sides.
This is the only sane thing to do.
Considering that they have not only failed to make Bahais to go away by terror and stick policy but in the process have also exposed the ineffectiveness of the methods they have used to deal with domestic, social and international ills.

Ones self and happiness is founded on the basis of discovering the truth and upholding it. For after all it is the TRUTH that sets us free, and what else better than freedom.
Should we all do the same, Iran will change over night without a drop of blood.

No compromises. No Insanity. Why?

The well-meaning recommendations and advice given to Baha'is of Iran often begins and ends with two fundamental compromises.

The first compromise is that of identifying oneself as not a Baha'i for it is rationalized by those who express concern for the well-being of the Baha'is as a "practical" and "pragmatic" approach to self preservation and advancement.  After all, it is further justified, there are so many examples of such expedient compromises, in the history of all religions, that to deny oneself this option would be perceived as counter to everything that is well accepted and established.  But then again, there is no surprise that Baha'is are distinguished by their commitment to changing established conventions.  Finally, the nature of this compromise typically has a public aspect and one that also results in implicating an entire community of believers.  Baha'is understand this all too well, and are uncompromisingly committed to not permitting the pristine mantle of this Faith to be sullied, and the dignity of an entire community to be ever questioned.

The second compromise, is one that has a deeply personal implication that is no less significant than the first and can be argued will place a person on a slippery slope against which much spiritual and physical energy must need be expended.  This is a compromise in the person's ability to align one's words, deeds and thoughts with one's principles in the absence of public implication.  It is akin to running a red light when there is no other car or traffic cop around.  The burden is born individually and its debilitating effects will no doubt lead to other tests and challenges in life.

In each case the choice made by a person is never the subject of judgement by anyone else.   No one is in a position to pass judgement on anyone else's conduct.  In the Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah we read:

O Son of Being!

How couldst thou forget thine own faults and busy thyself with the faults of others?  Whoso doeth this is accursed of Me.

The concern expressed by the many friends of the Baha'is is understood and their recommendations are received with the utmost respect.  Your continued words of support is appreciated, but please also note that the perspective on the plight of the Iranian Baha'is is viewed in the context of an unfolding divine plan.  So Albert Einstein's quote would apply if these heroic acts of commitment to principles were considered as "insanity".  By now you must be convinced that the Baha'is neither have nor do consider such acts as "insanity" but rather as their testimony to principles that they believe will redeem mankind in the face of its dire circumstances.

The future rescue of Iran depends on a Stand on Truth and Principle.

With so much claim on history and culture, What kind of a nation are we?

what kind of people have we become? How compromised are we?

Does tyranny and corruption rule iran because, we for centuries have accepted it as the norm? 

Why have Bahais so peacefully withstood 160 years of persecution, in the face of the persecution; of Kings and Empires? 

Is it because their history, is a one of moral victory, one that has taken this unifying message of peace to all corners of the planet ?

I believe that the people of Iran will one day recognise the Bahais for their unique, unswerving and united stand against the Mullah's relentless persecution.

Judging by the desperate and bankrupt actions of the IRI, that day is not too far ahead.

I'm glad you respect us for non-violence.

However, we will certainly not lie about our own identity which we generally esteem so highly to get an education. WE should not be the ones that have to change, rather it is the responsibility of the oppressors. And as history has shown, all oppressive regimes pass away eventually.

We have refused to recant our beliefs in the face of the most grotesque of deaths - why, then, would we do so for a tribulation like preclusion from education? (Side note: there is an online Baha'i Institute for Higher Education, essentially an underground university: //www.bihe.org) If you think an "empty creed" is not worth human lives, then I will bow my head to you a bit, extend my arm, and tell you that you are entitled to your own opinion. But to the majority of Baha'is, especially those of Iranian descent, our religion is actually the wooden circle block to a circular hole, as it fills an empty void which might otherwise preside over our soul; it is a source of wisdom coupled with incalculable leagues of joy and solace. It is our very life; it provides us with all of the methods to live an optimal life; it is as a prescription from God to an ailing humanity, and it gives its adherents a revolutionary outlook on the world which surrounds them and languishes in unbearable harship. And the greatest thing of all is that this gem that we treasure so much and would give the world for can never be taken away from us, as no mortal being has any power over that which is incorporeal. They can rob us of our computers, books, and even our education, but they can never lay their hand upon our beliefs and ideas which we so fervently believe in.

These are my opinions and feelings as a Baha'i, and they differ from yours as a secularist. That, Taheh shahr jan, is what makes us human. I respect your opinions just as I would hope that you respect mine or those of Baha'is at large. I also hope other Baha'is will contribute to this constructive dialogue.

No, I wasn't suggesting violence in any way. I fact one reason I like/respect the Bahais in general, is their non-violent ways, despite disagreeing with their philosphies at so many levels.

The students should just fill up the forms quietly, and get their education. They should stop with the romantic idealism, and bankrupt religious ideas that prevents them from developing their minds. What about so many students who are born moslems, but in reality are agnostics or atheists? Should they bring that issue to the attention of authorities too?! Regarding this issue, this shouldn't reflect on the Bahais' integrity negativley , since everyone is aware of IRI's stance towards them.

And what do you suggest? I might remind you that loyalty towards one's government and nonviolence in these sorts of repressive situations are part and parcel of the Baha'i Faith, and that engaging in taqiyya is forbidden. In light of that, it's not like we have many other options outside of keeping international peace organizations notified of the rampant persecution in the very birthplace of our religion. Physical retaliation only makes things worse; one look at history over the past few centuries will affirm that.

احتمالا آنکه وی (شاه) او را حضرت عباس میپنداشته است کسی جز تیمورتاش نبوده که در قصر شاه با پیرجامه و گاهی کون لخت از این اطاق به آن اطاق میرفته و بکار لهو لعب که در آن شهره آفاق بود مشغول بوده است و خدمه دربار به شاه خردسال میگفتند او حضرت عباس است. (نقل از بنده و نه مندرج در تاریخ)

منظور آنکه اگر شما و سایر هموطنان بهائی بیاری خداوند و مسلمین مصمم به براندازی این رژیم کلاش هستید، تصور نکنید کوچکترین نیازی به ارائه گفته های قران، انجیل و تورات و کتاب بهائیت است. چون مسئله اصلا دین نیست و مجددا مصدع اوقات میشوم و تکرار میکنم که آنکه کنترل نخ این بازی خیمه شب بازی را دارد دولت انگلستان است و در دویست سال قبل هم همان بود و در صد سال آینده هم دشمن اصلی شما دستگاههای جاسوس انگلستان خواهند بود.

باور بفرمائید خود دولت ایران هم کم و بیش از انگلستان خسته شده است چون میبیند انگلستان راه را حتی برای آخوندها هم تنگ کرده است. چون بر طبق قرارداد 1979 بین مارگارت تاچر و خمینی در پاریس قرار بر این بود که نفت و گاز دریای کاسپین از آن انگلستان بشود و ده درصد آن برای ذکات بین آخوندها و پادوهاشان تقسیم شود. ولی اکنون انگلیس دبه در آورده است و میخواهد نفت دریای مازندران را با روسها 50/50 بخورند و فقط 3% به آخوندها باج بدهند. خوب والله شما هم بودید ناراحت میشدید، دروغ عرض میکنم؟

پس مسئله دین بهائیت و اسلام افراطی و امر بمعروف و نهی از منکر نیست. این دزدان لات بی پدر مادر ، بچه باز و چاقوکشان گماشته انگلیس با خواندن آیه و حرف حساب بیرون نمیروند. یا آنقدر دست دست خواهید کرد که سرو کارمان با اسرائیل بیافتد و نیروهای متفقین در خاک کشورمان پیاده شوند، یا آنکه ایرانیان غیور خود برای بیرون کردن لاشه کثیف انگلیس و زدودن بوی تعفنی که از سفارت آن کشور، ایران را آلوده کرده دست بدست یکدیگر داده و شورش خواهند کرد. شما مطمئن باشید ایرانیان غیور خارج از کشور مخصوصا در ناحیه لوس انجلس و سن فرناندو ولی و ووست وود هم کم و بیش پشتیبان شما هستند و منتظرند تا ببینند "چه پیش میاید". آره مادر. شما ایرانیان دلیر اگر زمام امور مملکت را بدست بگیرید و غرب و شرق را بجای خود بنشانید لیاقت دکترای افتخاری خواهید داشت و دیگر نیازی به آزمون سراسری ندارید، که دفاع از وطن بزرگترین آزمونهاست.

وگرنه اگر قرار به آیه خواندن و دکلمه باشد، خوب بفرمائید این هم یک آیه:

یا ایهالذین آمنو، اقتلو جاسوسین الجاکش الانجلیسیه، و یخرب السفارت المفسدون و مراکزالاتوزیع الحشیشیه و وفور الفواحش الروسیه، که اناالله یحب الملت الایرانیه.

Would it have not been better if, the very first time in 1382, she had participated in the "concour" even if her ID card stated that her religion is "Islam"? Instead of making a big deal out of it and waving a red flag for IRI's fanatics! So what if the authorities 'think' you're a "Muslim"? (Mostly when Bahais believe in the Holy book of Koran too...)

I think it would've been better if she had made it to university as a "Muslim" and had finished her studies rather than to hold back just to prove to the stupid authorities that: "NO, I'M A BAHAI"!
But, with a university degree she could've made it to some high positions and then start to fight for her beliefs and all the injustices going on in our homeland regarding our Bahais hamavatans.

p.s. Didn't Obama do the same in US? Isn't he a secret muslim?!! ;-)

This is a letter...

(Maziar 058) I think that it is posted here so that readers can learn about the personal stories of our fellow countrymen and the manner in which they go about seeking a redress.  They are shinning examples of humanity.

This letter also makes reference to the Koran and reminds the authorities of the principles which they are violating in their policies.
