I wonder if President Obama, being the trailblazer he is, might "think out of the box" when it comes to appointing a new U.S. Supreme Court justice, and consider an American Muslim jurist as a candidate for this upcoming vacancy? We have male justices, female justices, Black justices, Hispanic justices, Caucasian justices, Christian justices, and Jewish justices. An American Muslim jurist of Malaysian, Indonesian or Chinese ancestry would address the paucity of both a Muslim and Asian justice on the nation's bench.
