by HollyUSA on Fri Nov 06, 2009 07:17 PM PSTI call this the political mockery of choice - not quite the same thing as the talk of the town dear.
Admin & protected Ommatie gang @ it again
by SamSamIIII on Fri Nov 06, 2009 07:17 PM PST:)hey all the arabo ommatie regime appologist prior to june 15 & turned IRI version 2 propagandists post-june 15th , some with new names . the gig is up, your behind the scene "campaigns" as you call em are just too amateurish at best & your "taghieh" is not gone help you. This site's bani abbass agenda is a well known fact and all the these senior citizen lil helpers and voluntary ommaatie conscripts will not make this D rated movie any more look real . So admin jaan boro amou & think of another "toomar nevisi tactics" reminiscent of your ministry of ershad days . I,m no monarchist and the only request I have is that ; do all your pro IRI promos as you did prior to june 15 but without degrading the heritage. But I guess asking this is like asking a goat to sing like Frank Sinatra. buncha senior amateur hezbos.

Am I wrong?
by rustgoo on Fri Nov 06, 2009 07:11 PM PSTAs a matter of fact the first paragraph of one person's comment here is articulate enough to remind me of a social and customary trend among certain people of certain ethnicity, certain faith where marriage between uncle and niece is allowed and practiced.

I don't know what you mean but you posted this blog not I.

by Bavafa on Fri Nov 06, 2009 07:03 PM PSTThank you Holly for a great post and as others pointed out (specially Irandokht) it is a good representation of what it was.
But the more interesting/funny part is the comments from the Monarchs… they never fail to make me laugh with comments such as "after 30 years, it is still the only talk of the town"
Keep up the good work!

It's all about one's horizon or, in their case lack of which
by میرزاقشمشم on Fri Nov 06, 2009 06:44 PM PSTRemember Holly:
To some people this site means the whole world; thus they can easily claim that monarchy is the only talk of the town.

Thank you!
by IRANdokht on Fri Nov 06, 2009 06:43 PM PSTThe progression of the videos was really interesting: The first one was to just silence any opposition and nip them in the bud, the second one was an attempt to silence the opposition by logical arguments and then in the third one he presents all the excuses to justify the point.
The point in itself was funny too: of course an extraordinary man would pass his leadership genes to his eldest son. Even if not as extraordinary, he'll still be a great King! LOL
I enjoyed this post, thank you Holly!

Really Benross??
by HollyUSA on Fri Nov 06, 2009 06:32 PM PST"BTW, monarchy being problematic or not, after 30 years, it is still the only talk of the town!"
REALLY?? Which Pahlavi armpit of a town do you live in??
Very funny!
by Souri on Fri Nov 06, 2009 06:22 PM PSTLovely post Holly jan!
Are you surprised why your blog didn't get so many comments?
I've deducted lately that most of the commentators here are the monarchist lobbies. Of course, commentators are not representative of the site's readers, just means that the Monarchists are the loudest ones :)
It is interesting that here
by benross on Fri Nov 06, 2009 06:17 PM PSTIt is interesting that here nothing is sacred and from nude pictures to transvestites to erotic and porn literature, all have exposure here, I assume to break the taboos and make us more open minded. Yet we use the morality of today's world (of Islamic type) to make a case about an issue 2500 years ago, with which, we don't possibly have any grasp of its context.
From which, there is a political deduction in support of republic system. Even as a republican, I rather do without! But that's okay. Hereditary nature of monarchist system is indeed unpredictable. Let's discuss this further. But not now. Let's get rid of IRI constitution, restore the other one and then discuss it in preparation of a constituent assembly in a free Iran. There will be other issues, much more important to be discussed too that most republicans -and monarchists- didn't even think about them.
BTW, monarchy being problematic or not, after 30 years, it is still the only talk of the town! Even the discourse of supporters of a republic is mostly limited to be 'not monarchic', far short of what the country really needs to discuss and another proof of the potency of monarchy in Iranian psyche.
But let's free Iran first.
Go and take a number !
by SamSamIIII on Fri Nov 06, 2009 04:10 PM PSTAnti true Iran propaganda by Ommaties & regime lobby pimps. One could make fun of Pahlaviis and yes please be my guest but making fun of Iran,s true heritage , well that makes you nothing short of an id-less traitor no matter how you paint it . that includes the cheerleaders too. & thats my point exactly :o)
Cheers!!!

by Jahanshah Javid on Fri Nov 06, 2009 01:59 PM PSTMy point exactly, your majesty :o)
Just the hereditary aspect of monarchy alone is problematic enough. I'm sticking with democratic republic, thank you.
