Hello all,
I was curious as to what sources do you use to get the news/updates related to Iran? I use Yahoo news and do seach for 'Iran'. As for Farsi sites, I kind of like roozonline. I also find the news section of Iranian.com useful. Any other suggestions?

Many thanks

Dear "hossein.hosseini",
by MiNeum71 on Sun May 10, 2009 02:01 PM PDTI can warmly recommend The Guardian and International Herald Tribune (Global Edition of The New York Times) to you: both world's leading online newspapers, both platforms for liberal opinions, both organs of the middle class.
Oh nooooooooo!
by Anonymous2009 (not verified) on Sat May 09, 2009 04:29 PM PDTYou all just gave IR a tool to filter out the Sites they may not have been aware of. They apparantly spend Mils of $$ each year for that purpose.
If you don't believe me just ask someone in Iran.

Hossein,
by admin on Sat May 09, 2009 12:17 AM PDTin the Iranian.com news section we get contributed articles by anybody who wants to recommend one from any source.
But on the right column we have major news agencies both in Farsi and English, and they are updated multiple times a day. They tend to escape notice, but there is a collection there.

Scroll down on the right column, you'll see what I mean.

by Paymaneh Amiri on Fri May 08, 2009 06:36 PM PDTGreetings Mr. Hosseini:
I use Google News and search for Iran, use gooya.com to access various news sources, read gooya.com's Gooya News, and use Iranian.com's News section. Gooya is a good portal for accessing a long list of news sources about Iran. I read and listen to European news websites such as Radio France International, Deutsche Welle, and the BBC.
I find the French and German news stations the most accurate and objective about news and human rights issues in Iran, an area of interest for me. Rooz Online has pretty good reporting, too.
Though I occasionally watch VOA and BBC Persian's news and analysis programs, I don't put a lot of stock in what they have to say. The site Iran Human Rights Defenders' site (both in Farsi and in English), is also a source I routinely check.
I hope this is helpful to you.
