Iranian women.....hah
by samsam1111 on Sun Aug 17, 2008 07:18 PM PDTOne thing that has held Idiocy, Ignorance & injustice in ballance & in check has been the role of enlightened Iranian women who manage so painfully to put up with us mostly retards Irani men as citizens, mothers, sisters, wives(not in my case though) & daughters..Time to hand in the pants to women to run Iran since We men have failed so miserably in courage, common sense & patriotism in last 1400 yrs. An Iran run by "Women only class" has my full support. Lets keep men in kitchens to screw up only food & Women in the street to fix Iran.Iran will fare better guaranteed!!

by Nazy Kaviani on Sat Aug 16, 2008 10:56 AM PDTYou are excellent in whatever you do! You are a lot more than a mere spectator, full of thought and feelings and insight. No harm done with the poet's name, either. It is a beautiful poem by another beloved daughter of Iran and I thank you very much for sharing it!
I am honored but...
by IRANdokht on Sat Aug 16, 2008 09:41 AM PDTMy dear friends
thank you for giving me so much credit, but this poem is by Lady Simin Behbahani, (as stated in the introduction). Not only I can't write such a nice poem, I don't think I'm that old yet ;-)
Nazy jan: as I have said many times, when it comes to arts, writing, poetry, music etc... My talents only allow me to be a spectator, but I do my best to be a good one at that :0)
Have a great weekend

Dear IRANdokht
by Nazy Kaviani on Sat Aug 16, 2008 09:25 AM PDTThis is so very nice! A poetic conversation with one's heart is something only Iranians can relay and understand, and what better Iranian to do it than a daughter of Iran! I had no idea you wrote poetry, too. I really liked the sense of humor and wisdom of your poem. Thanks for letting us see another dimension of you! Keep it up and let us see some more.
