L’alliance d’une partie de l’intelligentsia iranienne avec Khomeiny et la bourgeoisie traditionaliste de bazar entre 1978 et 1983 pour s’opposer au Chah, puis contre les opposants au régime islamique n’était pas planifiée ni soutenue par une grande majorité silencieuse d’intellectuels iraniens. Cette alliance fut plutôt exprimée par des tendances gauchistes, mossadéghistes et, plus particulièrement, par un spectre des musulmans politiques.

Bien que cette alliance fut funeste et contre-nature, elle n’eut pas de
poids réel sur le résultat final des soulèvements massifs. En réalité
les complices ne se comptaient que par plusieurs centaines de milliers,
face à quelques millions qui soutenaient farouchement Khomeiny.

En somme, la révolution islamique de 1979 ne fut pas le fait de
l’alliance de l’intelligentsia avec Khomeiny, Les islamistes furent
assez forts et bien organisés pour achever une telle révolution.

La chute du chah fut inévitable. Même ses alliés occidentaux le
savaient et, pour en profiter, tout en évitant le pire, qui semblait
être la mainmise de l’URSS sur la révolution, ils aidèrent les mollahs
à remplacer le régime du Chah. Les Occidentaux ont espéré que les
libéraux, du Front national, seraient finalement les maîtres du pays -
ce qui fut un échec.

Pourtant, l’intelligentsia aida les mollahs dans la phase initiale à
établir un régime solide au bonheur des mollahs et de leurs alliés
nantis traditionalistes du bazar.

L’idée de l’alliance fut de considérer le mouvement islamiste comme un
mouvement "progressiste" et " anti-impérialiste" qui défendait les
intérêts des opprimés. Cette position fut adoptée par une partie de la
confédération des étudiants iraniens (SIS) en Europe ainsi que par le
parti Toudeh, pro-Soviétique.

Du fait des aléas politiques, des milliers de membres et de
sympathisants intellectuels laïcs, avec les Moudjahiddines du peuple,
islamistes de gauche à l’époque, soutinrent la révolution islamique
dans sa phase initiale. Le parti Toudeh, toujours inféodé aux Big
Brothers de Moscou, continua son soutien quasi inconditionnel, jusqu’à
ce que le régime se tourne contre lui, en 1983.

Cette gauche perplexe qualifie sélectivement le mouvement islamiste de
"petite bourgeoisie progressiste". Fascisme, misogynie, obscurantisme,
qui sont les traits traditionnels des mollahs en Iran, sont
complètement ignorés. En réalité, la gauche iranienne n’est pas
parvenue ni à identifier le caractère politique du mouvement islamiste,
ni sa position de classe, ou à définir ses rapports avec le capital,
l’Etat et l’impérialisme, d’un point de vue marxiste.

Nos laïcs, frustrés et plutôt obsédés par la haine du chah qu’un
changement démocratique de son régime, se sont réduits au niveau
réactionnaire des mollahs, de telle façon qu’ils ont oublié que
l’ayatollah Khomeiny n’était qu’un mollah rétrograde, peu éduqué, et
farouchement anti-femme.

Khomeiny a décidé de revenir 1400 ans en arrière, à l’époque où les
califes régnaient encore sur des communautés islamiques selon les
règles de la charia. Il avait rêvé depuis longtemps d’une telle société
archaïque. Le problème de Khomeiny avec le chah s’est uniquement résumé
au rôle de l’islam dans la société. Il s’est élevé en 1963 contre les
réformes agraires et surtout contre le droit de vote accordé aux femmes
par le chah.

L’illusion à laquelle mena facilement l’alliance de nos intellectuels
avec les islamistes fut la construction d’un front commun visant à la
chute de la dictature du chah à tout prix, sans se rendre compte du
pire, car tous les signaux d’une nouvelle dictature étaient déjà
présents.

vous etes etremement tendancieux, fallacieux et vraiement dogmatique, tel est la mentalite de ceux qui ont pedu tout dans la revolution iranienne. Monsieur, abandonnez votre espoire faux de reclamer l'ancien regime. la revolution a trimphe. Iran n'est plus une colonie de l'ouest. libre et indepedant avec un etat souverain, c'est Iran. c'etait le but de la revolution. vivre la revolution!

Our Mistakes  

The alliance of a part of the Iranian intelligentsia with Khomeiny and the traditionalist bourgoisie of bazaar between 1978 and 1983 to oppose the Shah and then curb the opposition of the IRI was not planned and protected by a big silent majority of Iranian intellectuals.

This alliance was rather expressed by the leftist tendencies, mossadéghistes, and more particularly by a political specterum of Islamic groups.

Although, the alliance was wrong but was not  
be too determinent in the final result of the revolution. Actually the accomplices were only counted  several hundreds thousand, facing a few millions that fiercely supported Khomeiny. 

In short, the Islamic revolution of 1979 was not made out of the alliance of the intelligentsia with Khomeiny, The Moslem were previously strong enough and organized well to finish such a revolution. 

The Shah's fall was unavoidable. Even his western allies knew it and to benefit from his fall, avoiding the worse that seemed the seizure of the USSR on the revolution, helped the Mullahs to replace the Shah's regime. The Western hoped that the liberals, of the National Front, would be finally the masters of the country, what was of course a failure. 

Yet, the intelligentsia helped the mullahs in the initial phase to establish a strong regime to the favour of the mullahs and their rich allies, traditionalists of the bazaar. 

The idea of the alliance was to brand the Islamist movement as a progressive " and " anti-imperialist " movement " that defended the interests of the oppressed. This position was adopted by a part of the confederation of the Iranian students (SIS) in Europe as well as by the Toudeh party, pro - Soviet. 

Because of a fear of isolation, thousands of members and laic intellectual sympathizers, with the people's Moudjahiddineses, left at the time, sustained the Islamic revolution in the initial phase. The Toudeh party, always submitted to the all Big Brotherses of Moscow, continued its almost unconditional support until the regime turns against them in 1983. 

This perplexed left selectively qualifies the Moslem movement of " progressive " lower middle class . Fascism, misogyny, obscurantism that are the traditional features of the mullahs in Iran are competely ignored in their view. Actually, the Iranian left didn't succeed in identifying the political character of the Moslem movement, nor its class position, and nor to define its reports with the capital, the state and the imperialism all based on a Marxist analysis. 

Our laics, frustrated and rather fanatics by the Shah's hate that a democratic change of his regime, reduced themselves to reactionary levels of the mullahs so that they became hyper mnésique that ayatollah Khomeiny was only a retrograde mullah, little educated, and fiercely anti - woman. He was decided to turn the wheel of history back, 1400 years , at the time where the caliphs reigned  Islamic communities according to the rules of the Sharia.

Khomeiny had dreamed for a long time for such an archaic society, umma. The problem of Khomeiny with the Shah amounted solely to the role of the Islam in the society. Khomeiny rose in 1963 against land reforms and especially against the right to vote granted to the women by the Shah. 

The illusion to which leads such an alliance of our intellectuals was easily the construction of a common front aiming the fall of dictatorship of the Shah to all price without realizing the worse because all signals of a worse dictatorship were already present.
