دوستان عزیزم.  از نظرات ارزنده و مهربان شما ممنونم.  امیدوارم وضع بهتر شود.  مثل اینکه امسال بعضی دوستان تعطیلی سالیانه نداشتند، حتی یک روز!  شاید مسیحی نباشند ودر تعطیلی های مذاهب دیگر مثل هانوکا و تاسوعا عاشورا چند روزی استراحت کنند که ما هم حالمان کمی جا بیاید.  تکلیف ما در بدر ها هم معلوم است که تعطیلی هیچ مذهبی شامل حال ما نمیشود و از بی کسی همه اش اینجا پلاسیم.  سال نوی شما (یعنی آنها) مبارک.  به امید صلح در همه جا و مخصوصا اینجا، ارادتمند، جواد

I felt very sorry hearing about all you had endured during these recent days.

I'm thankful to God for having been away and not having read all those bad things. This would again make me sad and desperate for the future of the site. I just need not this for the moment, I have so many things to worry about.

I wish  a very very happy new year, full of health, joy and love for all of us and peace for everybody, all over the mother Earth.

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

About what Mr. Yassari wrote, well, I think you have missed a lot on the site and you have some essential reading with which to catch up! Then you will see what he and others are talking about. It has been chilling, disheartening, and sobering at the same time to follow the discussions.

Quite independent of their positions on issues, in my humble opinion in the heat of recent debates some of our regular users have emerged as arrogant, insensitive, childish, condescending and downright rude. I am only addressing manners and demeanors through what have been very emotional discussions. I have seen hateful and condescending comments from American members of the site toward Iranian members of the site. I have seen people who claim to be liberals talk like prejudiced and bigoted rednecks. I have seen commentators attack and insult respected bloggers and writers of the site, quite possibly pushing them out of ever wanting to write for the site again. And I can't say that I blame them, either.

It has been a hard time and it has been hard to love coming back to the site. Certainly, the more moderate and loving members of the site, yourself included, have been missed! I hope you stay around now!

What's wrong ? What happened to the site ? I haven't followed these days (I was really busy with other things) but on a surface, I don't see anything had changed from the past.

How long have you been with Iranian.com ? You seem to be very sensitive and this is very appreciated. It's nice to see there are good people around.

Don't worry too much. We are a big family :O). Like in all families, we have some good and some bad times here too. Sometimes tension arise and some time people are more cool. But wait a bit longer to see that there are more good people here than what you think. Don't worry too much.

Wish you a very happy year full of joy and fun. Stay always so good person, stay with us. Bests to you.

This, although unfortunate, is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe others will see this episode as a learning lesson on the damage to civil discourse that a united group of people with a deeply held political agenda can cause. It gives an insight also to the younger generation into the bankruptcy of this kind of political culture.
