Note: The following poem was inspired by the experiences of a friend of mine spending two amazing weeks in Japan during the blooming of Cherry Blossoms.
Cherry Blossoms blooming
All around you
Scent getting stronger
Such beauty is beyond us
Distance matters not
I am always there
I am the whisper in the wind
Speaking softly in your ear
I am all around you
In the swaying of the leaves
In the blooming of the flowers
In the beating of your heart
You tell me that you miss me
I’ve never left your side
I am the Nightingale
Offering you my song
Close your eyes
My love
Feel my presence
Listen to our hearts
Can you see me dancing?
Cherry blossoms falling all around you
Brightly, I am smiling
My eyes revealing love

Next time, you write a poem, please record your recitation on you-tube and post with your poem....you are the 1st person on the entire IC to record his or her own poem. You are a trailblazer and pioneer! It is awesome!

I watched your recitation on you-tube and also left a comment there. Great job! Very beautiful! You have a great voice!
You should embed your video in your blog!

Thank you once again for sharing such great music videos with me. I hope that all is going great with you.
I have decided to record myself reading my poems. I have posted my first one on this blog. I need to work out the glitches. Like the music in the background needs to be a little louder. I need to let the music record a little longer to cover the credits instead of my voice.
Little by little I will learn. I hope you enjoy my reading of the poem. Sorry, for my accent. LOL

Both songs yours are great and lyrics is great! The last song sounds like a Gospel song! On LULU they have poetry contests, they give away monetary prizes for winners.....maybe you should submit your poems there.....you may win and you can have some disposable income to tour Japan:

I just wanted to wish you a great time as you immerse yourself in nature. Remember to take a break under the shade. Close your eyes and take in all beauty around you.
Time for me to gear up to go back to work. My students will be planting seeds as our experiment this week. :o) I'm so excited!
They will be using this as their mother's day gift. I am hoping for success.
I will share one more song before I go. I just love this song.

I always tell my students that there are so many beautiful colors. This song reminds me of them. Only I am the one trying to get them to use all the beautiful colors of the rainbow.

by yolanda on Sat Mar 20, 2010 10:46 PM PDTHi! Natalia,
I think cherry blossoms are very special 'cause they can have full bloom without the support of a lot of leaves. It is just amazing! When I was in high school, I learned that leaves with the chlorophyll can undergo photosynthesis to produce sugar as food for the plants......sometimes people say that girls are like flowers while guys are like leaves providing nutrients to the flowers......it kind of makes me laugh 'cause cherry blossom trees can have beautiful flowers without leaves' support or very little leaves' support......so cherry blossoms must be pretty resilient and independent! :O) I also found out tonight that the cherry blossom trees in Washington were given to US as gifts by the Japanese government: 3000 trees in 1912 and 3800 trees in 1965 .......in 1945 US dropped 2 atomic bombs in Japan...of course that is way after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941.......Thank God that they get along now....
Thank you for your poem.....wow! it is pretty and abstract!
