No ordinary woman is she
Fragile and yet so strong
In her voice is heard
The wisdom of the ages
Gentle as a dove
Sweet as honey
Yet fierce as a lioness
When protecting her young
Her eyes are soft
Yet if provoked
One look can pierce
Into your very soul
Her touch is gentle
Comforting in time of need
Drying away the tears
Touching your very soul
A heart of gold
Aches when you are hurt
Kindness rules within
No one could love you more
Always there to hear
Your great joy
Your troubles too
Especially your laughter
At night when no one hears
She prays for you
“Lord please bring happiness
Safety too”
May not seem much to most
How wrong they are
She is a super woman
Brightly shining in your eyes
Dedication: Poem dedicated to all the amazing women that make sacrifices for their children on a daily basis. Alicia, mi buen amiga espero que te guste el poema. :o)

Great job....excellent choice of pictures....the timing is good, too! I think you are probably the technology expert at your school now.....'cause you know how to make beautiful you-tube videos...
Look forward to your next blog!

Yes, those are wonderful places to visit. Sadly, the museums that I am going to do not allow pictures to be taken. I have seen some pieces of Art from Picasso and Andy Warhol that I had no idea existed.
I was amazed! I wonder what other treasures are there for me to view at the other museums. In Houston there is this amazing children's museum. It is almost totally interactive. My students love it every time we go. I just wish we could spend more time there.
Sweet dreams!

by yolanda on Fri Mar 19, 2010 10:59 PM PDTHi! Natalia,
I love visiting museums, gardens, Catholic missions (usually with nice cactus gardens), aquariums, planetariums, zoos, wild life animal parks, historical societies, and National Parks. It is fun and educational......... If they let you take pictures in the museums, you can do a photo essay on IC.
MM's video is very thought-provoking! Apparently even wild animals take care of their young, but IRI kills and executes its young.....IRI is worse than wild animals! It just saddens me!
Here is my favorite part of your poem, very beautiful, I love the similes:
Gentle as a dove
Sweet as honey
Yet fierce as a lioness
When protecting her young
thank you for sharing!
P.S. I am sure you can easily translate the poem into Spanish and share with your mom!

Thank you for the videos. I have been visiting the museums in my area. Perhaps there is a story to be later told in this. I still have many more to visit first.
I am taking plenty of notes. I shall also read Julio's Art textbook to immerse myself in Art. :o)
MM......thank you
