US/Israel don't indiscriminately drop things here and there. They look for locations where the Basiji's and Pasdars would likely hide, Mosques, Emamazadehs, Khomeini's Shrines, etc. I would drop on those locations if I could myself.

1- Iran was the name of the country since Sassanian era (in Persian) and also for various other eras the country had other names such as AJAM.

but in the West it was always called PERSIA. Please note we are talking about the usage of this name in English, not in Persian. Avesta is a Persian material.
