May peace and prosperity comes bak upon us Iranians again.
In memory of all Iranians lost during useless war of 80-88.

Thank you dear Maziar for remembering.....
by Bavafa on Tue Sep 25, 2012 08:28 AM PDTThese brave ones as so many gave their lives and/or livelihoods for their mother land.
I am happy to see few would still remember these brave folks on IC.
My salute to each and every one of those who fought to defend their mother land, Iran
'Hambastegi' is the main key to victory

Thanks dear Maziar... We have lost the best
by Soosan Khanoom on Tue Sep 25, 2012 07:47 AM PDTThat a country could have ever offered. . For every inch of that land we lost a young soul and we have a mother who is still mourning .... There is nothing good ever comes out of any war...
Isnt that ironic that at the anniversary of that destructive war of aggression we are hearing the drums of war yet again and by the very same superpowers who had brought the Iran Iraq war to us? I think one thing among many that triggered it was the hostage issue which certainly gave a green light for them to pump up Saddam against Iran using the old disputes among two countries as an alibi. I wish for the day that not only the superpowers but also those inside Iran whom triggered embassy invasion and hostage taking will be brought to justice and serve their not too light punishments.
No matter what happened behind the scene, we should forever owe the integrity of Iran to our fallen youth. May they rest in peace and may we never let them down ..

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
War is something that I despise
For it means destruction of innocent lives
For it means tears in thousands of mothers' eyes
When their sons go out to fight to give their lives
War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again
War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
War
It's nothing but a heartbreaker
War
Friend only to the undertaker
War is the enemy of all mankind
The thought of war blows my mind
Handed down from generation to generation
Induction destruction
Who wants to die
War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again
War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
War has shattered many young men's dreams
Made them disabled bitter and meanLife is too precious to be fighting wars
each day
War can't give life it can only take it away
War
It's nothing but a heartbreaker
War
Friend only to the undertaker
Peace love and understanding
There must be some place for these things today
They say we must fight to keep our freedom
But Lord there's gotta be a better way
That's better than
War
War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again
War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing

by First Amendment on Fri Sep 21, 2012 01:53 AM PDTThe War was imposed upon our nation.......it can't be called useless.....It remained a defensive war, totally justifiable from our point of view, up to the liberation of KhorramShahr..............Opinions differ as to the credibility of the decision which prolonged it for 6 more bloody years.........if not a court, a national inquiry "will" shed light on the circumstances and those responsible...............
Your blog is highly appreciated.........every single of us, regardless of her social and political stand is deeply indebted to every single person who defended our homeland regardless of the banner under which he sacrificed his precious blood.
Thank you...........
