Tell me a Lie

Do you ever get a sense that life in the movies is often more interesting than real life? Do you watch films where good looking people in nice clothes meet interesting people and exciting things happen to them? It is so, in some movies like most French ones where one walks down the street, and one begins an amazing conversation with a total stranger, and a great tale of adventure awaits. But not many French films have happy endings. Think of some Hollywood ones where good people are perfect, and they deservedly end up well. And the bad ones, as there are always some, are found out and punished perhaps to teach us a lesson that evil cannot go far. And we all know how true that is in real life, don't we?

And I like that. I wish life were like what it is in some of these movies for most of the wonderful people around me, those who struggle against all odds and horrible things keep happening to them. I like to think that all is well or it ends well. I guess what I am saying is that I am in the mood for a lie. Tell me a lie, Will you?

Occasionally We lie and we like to be lied to. Sometimes lies make us feel better because we can not handle the truth.

I'm a particularly gorgeous looking guy!

And that's besides being extremely witty and charming with it! But the really interesting thing about me is the fact that I work for an international investigative organization, which specializes on financial/insurance frauds by the wealthy and the upper classes.

Therefore, I'm frequently jetting off across the globe and mingling in various countries' high societies where my investigation targets can often be found. And of course, my ridiculous good looks, razor sharp intellect and irresistible charm helps me worm my way into those circles.

Ok, that was all a lie.............truth is, I'm merely very good looking, and work as a finance manger behind a desk all day. :)

Seriously though, it is nice sometimes to get immersed in the make believe world of movies. Maybe that is why Sci-Fi and fantasy/fairy tale films are among my favourite genres. While I also enjoy life like gritty productions, a bit of escapism every now and then, can be just what the doctor ordered.
