October 23, 2010: Come to see Saeid Shanbehzadeh and your friends!

I am excited to let you know of a great upcoming event in the San Francisco Bay Area. On Saturday, October 23, 2010, Iranian.com will present a fantastic performance by the Saeid Shanbehzadeh Ensemble at San Francisco’s Herbst Theater. Saeid Shanbehzadeh presents his pretty unique brand of Southern Iran Boushehri music, a music of rhythm and color which is bold, exciting, and delightful. He is accompanied by his son, Naghib, and Habib Meftah Boushehri on percussion. People outside California have had a chance to see Saeid and his ensemble perform over the past several years. We will be lucky this Fall to see him take his wonderful music on his first US Tour.

If you live in this area, please mark your calendars for Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. for what promises to be a fantastic performance. (There are other delightful surprises in store for that night. Stay tuned!)

If you don’t live in this area, won’t you consider joining us for an Iranian.com gathering around the concert? If you are interested in making the trip, the fabulous Iranian.com volunteers of Northern California will look into getting a reasonable rate on rooms, etc. Let us know!

Habib Meftah Boushehri and Naghib Shanbehzadeh play the percussion. I hope you enjoy their music and very exciting visual presentation. Please plan to come to the concert if you can! So last night I made it to the concert. It was great to see IC friends and
listen to good music. I truly enjoyed "Shanbehzadeh" 's performance. Very nostalgic for me to hear southern music and see southern dancing. The percussionists were great. I am always impressed with good percussionists and Naghib Shanbehzadeh, and Habib Meftah Boushehri were fantastic on percussion. Thanks Nazy, Jahanshah and all other IC friends who helped with the concert. I recommend it to all IC readers in LA area to go to this concert.

شناختن من یکی که ساده ست، من اگه سمعک و عینک و عصامو بذارم کنار و یه خاکی هم تو سر قوز کمرم بکنم و موهام رو هم خضاب جمالیه بمالم و یادم باشه دندونهامو هم با خودم بیارم اصلاً با این عکس مو نمیزنم! فقط نمیدونم اون کپسول اکسیژن لعنتی رو چه جوری استتار کنم!

سوری خانوم، بابام که گرفتاره ولی بابا بزرگم گفته میاد منو از ورودی رد میکنه بعد خودش میره دنبال فسق و فجور!

I think  you must bring your actual ID Cards to prove you have grown up since you took that picture!

It will an immense pleasure for me to meet other IC friends there....

But how would I recognize everybody?

I suggest everybody should have their IC name written en their forehead!!

منم اگه بتونم بلیط مینی بوس گیر بیارم شاید یه روز زودتر اومدم که «جمعه زاده» رو هم ببینم، اگه شد یه جوری خبر میدم که تو یه مسافرخونه اون دور و ورا یه تخت هم واسه من گیر بیارین.

راستی باید بُقچهء رختخواب پیچ خودمون بیاریم یا مسافرخونه های اونجا متکا و پتو و کوزه آب میدن؟

This concert with music from South of Iran sounds very interesting and then to see IC friends that I have never met in person, this is great. Souri jan, let's have another get together besides the concert since during concert, we have to be quiet or JJ will throw us out. Few of us like to have Turkish food in San Francisco. Maybe we can all arrange for that.

Count  me for one!

It's big time to attend in one of those great event of the IC!! Especially that I like Shanbezadeh's works so much.

This will be a great opportunity for me to know some of the IC friends in person. I am so excited about that.

Please do consider me among the "foreigners" :) who will need the accommodation (with a good rate :)). Of course I will arrive one day earlier, means October 22.
