I would like to share this music video which remembers Iran's political prisoners, and those Iranians who were persecuted for their beliefs in 1389. This song, "Bahar-e ghamangiz," is based on a poem by Houshang Ebtehaj (Sayeh). My friend, Parisa Vaaleh, wrote the music and performed the vocals. Kamran Thunder has arranged and performed the music. I hope you enjoy her beautiful music and remember Iran's prisoners on this first day of spring, too.

Iran: Prison Massacre: Hundreds of Prisoners Dead or Injured
by Mash Ghasem on Tue Mar 22, 2011 11:00 AM PDTIts not just in Libya that civilians are being slaughtered, its
also happening in Iran. At least 150 prisoners are dead or injured after
bloody clashes erupted in Karaj’s Ghezel Hesar prison on the night of
March 15th. Thousands of prisoners from units 2 and 3 launched a protest
after hearing the news of plans to execute ten inmates.

Parisa Vaaleh’s voice is mesmerizing
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Mon Mar 21, 2011 06:10 PM PDTThis song gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.
I was fortunate enough to watch her perform on stage last October. She is a great singer, and having had the opportunity to meet her in person after the show I found her to be a great lady, so kind and polite. Also, this video, the poem by Houshang Ebtehaj, and the music are incredibly beautiful and patriotic. Great job!
