Persia Shiraz is known as the city of poets, wine, flowers and nightlife.
Syrah is flavour and taste
_ Varietal Syrah or Shiraz. Of the more well known as wines, this is the style of Hermitage in northern Rhone or Australian Shiraz.
_ Syrah blended with a small amount of Viognier. This is the traditional style of Cote-Retie in northern Rhone.
_ Syrah as a roughly equal blending component for Cabernet Sauvignon. In modern times, this blend originated in Australia, so it is often known as Shiraz cabernet.
_ Syrah as a minor blending component for Grenache and Mourvedre. This is the traditional style of Chateauneuf-du-Pape of southern Rhone.
Smaller amounts of Syrah are also used in the production of other wine styles, such as rose wine, fortified wine in Port wine style, and sparkling red wine. While Australian sparkling Shiraz traditionally have had some sweetness, a number of Australian winemakers also make a full-bodied sparkling dry Shiraz, that contains the complexity and sometimes earthy notes that are normally found in still wine.

The Iranian female literary voice has existed since the early nineteenth century (in the 1930s), in the past journalistic outlets and in literary form. It has become a powerful tool for raising awareness about the plight of the Iranian woman.
Female Iranian artists are hindered by censorship and persecution in Iran and are publically humiliated. Iranian/Persian woman are seeking to define themselves; as well as the meaning of their national identity.
The image of American women or the West cultural women is seen as that of sexual freedom, among Iranian women. Iranian/Persian women possess beauty, charm, intellect, etc; they are portraying themselves as woman of the west. Many of these women are fantasizing about living in the USA.
Nevertheless Iranian/Persian women have to imagine being an American women and living like them. To become a new Iranian woman, one who just may escape the past. Iranian women are willing to do anything to get freedom under the Islamic law.
In Iranian history, womens rights continue to seesaw. The recent mass of arrests of dissenters, including the much-vilified incarceration of female activists that demand the abolition of lashings and stoning, and the crackdown on immodest dress (of men as well as of women) could very well stall the womens movement that has been building over the past few years.
