Just look at thing from a different angle
by Reza_Fani_Yazdi on Tue Feb 14, 2012 01:23 PM PSTWe have been hearing for years too much about positive side
of opposition forces outside of Iran, I think if we really want to get to know
why the IRI (Islamic Republic of Iran) have been successful to stay in power
for more than 3 decades and almost destroy the opposition forces, we need to
look inside opposition circles and learn about their weaknesses. I am a firm believer
that IRI is not an eternal source of strength and can be defeated, but their secret
of existence is somehow goes back to their opponent’s lack of power and lack of
knowledge and also self-deception. We should stop to act stupid.
I am trying to look at thing from a different angle. What
have we not done right?
Why we cannot get people’s support in millions to be able to
force the regime to back off and eventually surrender the power.
Thanks to all of you,
Reza
Interesting analysis on a number of topics
by Mehrban on Sun Feb 12, 2012 04:00 PM PSTI would not out right dismiss the Stockholm meeting as practice makes perfect. Any gathering of the opposition is better than no gathering at all (waiting for the perfect gathering). Critique by Mr. Fani Yazdi of the Sockholm meeting is also very important to guide the future gatherings towards a more sound and solid footing.
Thank you for posting, I learned a great deal.
Great blog and great conversation...
by Bavafa on Sun Feb 12, 2012 12:33 PM PSTThere was a lot of good and logical discussion in this exchange which I found it very sincere and factual.
Many thanks for providing this and for the dialogue.

Why does he so angry about what he does not know any about?
by long live Iran on Sun Feb 12, 2012 02:27 AM PSTThis guy rushed into something that he does not know anything about. I can just judge that he is angry that he has not been invited.
Mr. Fani yazdi is confused.
by Mohammad Ala on Sun Feb 12, 2012 01:33 AM PSTWhile Mr. Fani yazdi talking, there were so many bogus people who were thanked on TV screen. Who thanked them? I assume the Meyhan TV thanked them for what??
Mr. Fani yazi mentioned many things about the conference participants such as they wanted to choose a President. How did he know this? Then he said the participants were “décor.”
Without knowing what went on in the conference, blame the conference participants. It is Iranian style commentary, doubt everything. Thirty minutes of this video was enough for me.
As I mentioned in the original thread, as long as bogus people hide and attack “real” people, things will not change in Iran. Iranians must learn to respect varying views, be accountable for what they say, and place national interest(s) ahead of their personal and/or organizational interest. IC is an example of why Iran won’t change for better any time soon. Best wishes to all.
Mr. Fani yazdi, great blog
