Robert one more thing. I

by Shoe Thrower (not verified) on

Robert one more thing. I really liked the ending, it was very original. If you can, keep the same ending for your future interviews.

It reminded me a little bit of that movie My Cousin Vinny

//www.netflix.com/Movie/My_Cousin_Vinny/60001...

Have you seen it? The guy was a funny lawyer and when he was finished with one of his witnesses he'd smile and inform the Judge sarcastically; I have no more use for this witness :-)

It was funny! Sometimes you don't mean to be funny and do somthing by accident but it ends up being very funny ;-)

Robert if you want to be in

by Shoe Thrower (not verified) on

Robert if you want to be in the frame with JJ you can.

You don't have to sit right next to him, you can sit to the left or right of JJ 'around' a table on chairs so you and JJ can look at each other from your left or right.

You can put the camera on a tripod and on the other side of the table in front of you and JJ and you can both be in frame.

In this video JJ was looking 'back' at you when answering your questions.

Again overall very very good. If you compare this video to your last interview with him you see a big improvement, don't you?

I saw this accidentally!

by Jaleho on

because I usually check only stuff in the first page. But, I am glad that I did! I really enjoyed it. Like most people told you already, I think you have the talent, charm, and interest required to be good in this type of stuff. It is lucky to come across something so early in life that you might want to consider pursuing later on.

Just in case you actually consider to do this later in life, I would second Amir Kabir's idea of learning 2 Farsi words a day, religiously. I know, easier said than done. If I had taken my own advice 15 years ago and did that with Spanish, I'd be really good by now, but alas!

However, you have few Farsi-speaking people around you, and for a journalist having few languages is like GOLD! Look at people like Christian Amanpour of CNN, or Pouneh Ghodousi of BBC who speak Farsi fluently.

OK, sorry, didn't mean to be motherly with tough advice that I don't have the perseverance to follow myself. Just thought it is a very good idea for a first class journalist.

Best JJ interview so far ...

by JJ's FRIEND (not verified) on

Good variety on selection of questions from Robert; and honest replies from JJ. A nice interview - short, sweet, straightforward and informative. Enjoyed it very much.

Thank you Robert

you've done a great job. This is a good beginning. Looking forward to more of your interviews. Please make sure to learn two new Persian words each day. You will not regret it.

Barbara Wa Wa, look out, you have some serious competition

by TheMrs on

Hi Robert,

I have a special friend and I sometimes blog about my special friend. So, my "special friend" and I were looking at this clip you made and we thought it was absolutely great.

First off, thanks so much for asking my boxers or briefs question. I didn't think the moderators would post the comment, and they did. I didn't think you'd ask it, and you did. I never thought it would be boxers, but it is. It's a wonderful life after all!

Some suggestions for the future. You definately need more lighting. Also, don't hide behind JJ. Sit across from him so we can see you too. You have a je ne sais quoi, and I'm not just saying this because you're a cute kid. I think you should pursue this line of blogging. Interview JJ and other people. Go around to interesting spots...I think you should be our reporter.

Robert :-)

by Shoe Thrower (not verified) on

I saw the video. I was going to say Ex-ceellent like Wayne in Wayne's World but will say Excellent and will save Ex-ceellent for next time! I think JJ is ready for next one ;-)

As for the "reeling in' question, reeling in is the same as reeling in a fish when you are fishing. My question was what should a WOMAN do to reel JJ in, not what JJ would do to reel in a woman! JJ cleverly mistook your misunderstanding and answered incorrectly! Or maybe he meant a woman can reel him in by inviting him to live with her. You'll have to get this cleared up in the next report/interview.

Lastly, again this is mucho importante, while JJ sat down and gave you his attention which is nice, next time sit down in more light and on a table. I think it'll be better.

Overall very very good and I really liked it. I look forward to the next interview since there are many more questions left :-)

more exposure please...

by hello! (not verified) on

This is really cute and special. Can you please move it to the front page?

If you do, you should mention that this was moved from blog to front page due to popularity--or something like that.

Matter of fact, maybe you can do that on a regular basis, because maybe some people dont go to blogs.

Souri

My very dear Robert...

by Souri on

I came back here to congratulate you for the good job again...I'm sure if the timing was chosen differently your post would get much more attention and many more comments. I'm sure most of the people who enjoyed your video, haven't found enough time to leave a comment for encouraging you, because every body is now busy with the serious political subjects.

See ? this is the world of the adult !!! not so pretty, isn't it ?

I came back here to tell you a big "thank you" from all other users who watched your great job and didn't take time yet to tell you how much they did enjoy your work and they had appreciated your effort.

Keep up doing your job, but don't be impatient to enter the adult world, please ! Nothing rush :O))

Lots of love

Well done!

by IRANdokht on

Good job Robert and thank you for asking my question too even though I had not explained what "bikhiyal" meant.

I liked the cozy atmosphere and the way you wrapped it up.

One thing that I found funny was how JJ's most favorite question was the one he didn't answer ;-)

Looking forward to your next report!

Monda

Great questions Robert!

by Monda on

It shows how well you thought this out. Thank you for sharing your inquiries with us.

ThePope

Nice!

by ThePope on

Thanks Robert, you did an amazing job! I'm sure you put a lot of time & effort to prepare this interview... Writing down the questions, deleting some,, putting them in order,,, and adding your own question at the very end. -BRAVO, nice job.

You should also know that you're one lucky man to have an uncle/friend like JJ who is cool, "khaaki" (down2earth), smart (& shrewd) and most importantly he's not bald! :o)

Now, why you didn't ask him my first and most important question: the size of his shoe? How can you skip that very crucial question at a time like this; with all the "journalist/shoe" thing going around the world?!!
Please,
inform us about the size of his shoe with significant details (EU/UK/US)!!!?
It would be greatly appreciated... ;-)

I can't see! I can't see!

by Shoe Thrower (not verified) on

Robert I can't see youtube right now but will check it later tonight. Tell me (anyone) is JJ sitting and looking at Robert or the camera or is he playing with his laptop?

What a well presented interview. You did really well sunshine :)

I think you will go on to follow in your uncles footsteps and I really look forward to your next interview..... YOU WILL DO ANOTHER ONE WONT YOU PLEASE ?? Maybe we can come up with some idea's for you, if you like?

How about expanding your interviews to include other members of the team behind the scenes at i.com?

And amo JJ, you look so much better than your avatar. It was nice to see you smiling as I had imagined you as a grumpy man! sorry about that.

Best wishes

Javaneh

Souri

Great job Robert !

by Souri on

Thank you Robert, this one was a professional one ! You are really good at interviewing people and chose the very good questions. You must keep up practicing this more and more and I'm sure one day you will be a great journalist like your uncle and your ancestor, even better!

I wish I could hear you a bit better, maybe you were sitting too far ? Or maybe I have a problem with my audition :O))

Overall, this one was a very great and enjoyable interview. Congratulation boy !!
