Wow Robert I'm impressed.  You have great taste in music my friend.  My 10 year old and you would get along swimmingly.  My son however echoed verbatim what the pope said.  I myself am an aging So Cal punk rocker and much more of a Suicidal Tendencies fan.  I too think Trujillo is a great bassist.

Kill em all and Ride The Lightning were the best because of Mustaine.  

Man, I need to find friends my own age.  My kid has way too much influence on me.

No more Bob Rock... It was about f...... time.
Don't get me wrong, Bob Rock is a great musician/producer but he just had tooooo much influence on Metallica's music "style"... The band wasn't Metallica since the 90s (the black album). The petition signed by the fans to get rid of him actually worked.

Finally, after 20 L O N G years, an album by Metallica that actually sounds a bit more like Metallica!! But still...

Overall, Death Magnetic it's not that bad. It's a pretty good album.
Maybe the songs are a bit too long and the sound quality kind of... sucks (too much distortion).
If the album was recorded in my studio, Studio Chah-Chah, the sound would've been much better. :o)

I think "My Apocalypse" is one of the best songs of the album.

Robert jaan, yeh donyaa mochaker. Daset dard nakoneh for sharing.

 

p.s. Robert Trujillo is a great bass player (slap bass), but with Metallica he just can't show his true talent as a bass player like he did with Suicidal Tendencies.
