Golshifteh Farahani: symbolic act of defiance to culture of lies

By showing her nude breast Golshifteh Farahani rocked the “moral” foundation upon which the Islamic Republic is built. She revealed the hypocrisy engraved in Iranian collective consciousness.
What she did was incredibly brave and significant not only for women’s right in our society but for our country as a whole. Her symbolic act of defiance to culture of lies, deception and double standards constantly promoted by the Iranian government is truly admirable.
Her devilish act is a reminder of poetry of Hafiz and Omar Khayyam.
