Shabnam is currently working on the production of an animation series called Mixed Nutz, which is already airing on Tapesh TV in Farsi. This follows her work after Babak and Friends - A FIrst Norooz.

See Shabnam's most recent interview on CNN:

Shabnam has also worked with NPR, Newsweek, BBC, VOA, BBC radio, ABC, Kurier (Austria), Profil (Germany) and many other print, TV and local radio stations to talk about Iran, its culture and its people. She was quoted in the National Geographic magazine about Iran. She does interviews on a regular basis in her magazine the PersianMirror and she is doing everything she can to show the human side of IRan to children and grown-ups alike.

She is certainly my IRanian of the Day and I am very proud to know her. Please send her link around and support her efforts.

MY PROBLEM

by MY PROBLEM (not verified) on

She doesn't speak about invading Iran. She isnt supporting John McCain. She is trying to end the propaganda against demonizing Iranians.

She must then be an AGENT OF THE MULLAH REGIME!!!!!

NOW see how silly that sounds? yet this is the type of rhetoric and slander that people engage in on a daily basis on this website. name calling, finger pointing. he is agent of this, agent of that. mullah this, imam this, mojahed this, shahee this. this is such an old game. when will we grow up. why do we still worship shah, rajavi, mossadegh, khomeini, or any other individual that we respectively worship. these are human beings. mortals that die. why are we imprisoned by their legacies.

Can't we all just get along? But wait if we do then Marxist will say we are masking our true problem behind the false consciousness of culture, rather then our economic interest. So even in uniting Iranians, there are critics by our Tudeh friends.

So what are we left to do JJ??? Tell me??

Cultural Ambassador

by Maryam K. (not verified) on

I came to know Shabnam thru correspondence some 6 years ago and was one of the fortunate ones to have access to the Persianmirror.com beta site before it was officially launched.

I'm impressed by the quality of her work and how fast and far she has come in the past 6 years.

As a mother, I thank her for being involved in the making of "Babak's First Norooz", a quality work which the Iranian-American community needs.

I wish her much success with her site as well as her video/DVD productions and books for children. She is truly a cultural ambassador and a classy lady.
