Does it matter?

I don't think it matters who becomes the president. All the critical and essential decisions in Iran is influenced or made by Khameneie and whether the president like it or not, things have to be done in the way he wants. That's why Khameneie would be happier if someone like AhmadiNejad become president. Someone who believes in him and thinks like him. Moreover, Khameneie has the right to veto parliament's decisions as he has done it before. Parliament, the only symbol of democracy that is left in Iran today. What kind of "republic" is that? Well, It's not at all. And if it's not, then what's the presidency election for. To give people false promises and lift their hopes for another four years? It ain't gonna work anymore. I think Iranian people have realized that.
I wish to live long enough to see the day that only 1% of people have participated in the election. That day is the end of this so called "Republic".
