It is a great pleasure to introduce the Momeni Foundation's year 2008 scholarship award recipients to you. This year we are awarding $18,000 dollars to 28 well deserving students.
The following students have demonstrated outstanding achievements in both academics and social/civic causes.

Ms. Leila Haghighat - $1000 Award
Ms. Haghighat of San Jose, CA graduated high school with a GPA of 4.00 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in General Biology at University of California - San Diego. Ms. Anaheed Heydari - $1,000 Award Ms. Heydari of Bakersfield, CA graduated high school with a GPA of 4.0 and a long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Psychology at UCLA, in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Christina Khavarian - $1000 Award Ms. Khavarian of San Diego, CA graduated with a GPA of 4.0 and long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Neuroscience & International Business at Claremont McKenna University in Claremont, CA. Ms. Tara Sharifan - $1000 AwardMs. Sharifan of Salt Lake City, UT graduated with a GPA of 3.9 and long list of volunteering, awards and leadership positions. She will be pursuing a degree in Psychology and Pre-Med at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT.

Mr. Darbandi of Tucson, AZ maintains a GPA of 3.9 at The University of Arizona where he is pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. Mr. Darbandi is receiving a scholarship for the sixth year. Mr. Hamid Reza Baniasadi - $750 Award Mr. Baniasadi of Muncie, IN maintains a GPA of 3.9 at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN where he is pursuing a PhD in Chemistry. Mr. Baniasadi is receiving a scholarship for the second year. Ms. Mariam Ameri - $750 Award Ms. Ameri of Gaithersburg, MD attends SABA University of Netherlands-Antilles, where she is pursuing a degree in Medicine.Ms. Susan Ghanbarpour - $750 Award
Ms. Ghanbarpour of Baltimore, MD attends John Hopkins University where she is pursuing a Doctorate degree in Public Health with emphasis in Women’s Health. Ms. Ganbarpour is receiving a scholarship for the second year. Mr. Ruhollah Alexander Manavi - $750 Award Mr. Manavi of Alpharetta, GA attends Georgia State University where he is pursuing a degree in History and Religion.
