So what is a moderate person?

Evaluating the comments I have read on this website it appears that any form of violent resistance against the Islamic Republic pushes the boundaries of all acceptable ethical standards. Certainly, there are violent extremist people or nations who react excessively to every perceived threat but there are also peace extrmists which I believe is a befitting epithet for most contributors on this site.

For these 'peace extremists'- any form of violent mobilisation against the Islamic Republic which has terrorised Iranians for 33 years is vehemently opposed. As far as they are concerned Iranians must sit still like a cross-leged Buddha underneath a tree and become the passive recipients of every known conceivable torture, killing and abject humiliation known to man. These delusional peace extremist suffer from battered wife syndrome; they become use to being scared and defenceless and believe that their abusers can somehow be reasoned with. After 33 years, you would expect that 'peace extremists' to show evidence of progress peaceful dialogue has made in the Iranian political and social scene but all you can expect is the usual banal naivety that democracy does not work overnight and that it might take 400 years to work!

The patholigical mentality of these people is no different from the insane Massianic cult ruling Iran which believes the Mahdi Hidden Imam will come one day and save the world. There are countries which have sought freedom through through peaceful transition and participation in the political press without violence-Czechoslovakia, Poland to name a few and it is hard to disagree that all peaceful means of negotiations must be exhausted first before resorting to violence. Oh, no! but not for Iran. Iranians must be clubbed, beaten to death and taken to the gallows so that it can feed the peace extemists martyrdom fetish. These people will revere people like Gandhi and Nelson Mandela but ignorantly believe that the Britih Raj in India or apartheid in South Africa came to an end by civil disobedience. Mandela's ANC (including his own Wife!) took up arms (quite rightly) which Mandela supported until sanctions took a bite into the economy and the racist SA regime was drawing near to a collapse. Like battery chickens they churn out the same childish slogans: "Violence is not the solution". YES, IT DOES.

Removal of oppressive political systems through violence may also pave the way for a peaceful political process as seen in Northern Ireland and the troubled negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

We only have to see Tibet and how the Dalai Lama's sincere but totally misguided civil disobediece campaign against the Chinese has brought him international superstardom but continued oppression of his people for the last 40 years.

The 'Peace Exrtemists' should be aware that no Ameircan or Israeli politician has spoken of a ground force invasion or carpet bombing Iran to the stone age. I also believe that the current fixation with Iran's nuclear ambition while a cause for concern is simply a non-starter: this regime is beyond redemption. It is criminal and evil from start to finish and devoid of rational individuals. It would be wrong for me to ask Iranians to rise up and take arms like the courageous young Syrians who are dying by the dozens on each day. The momentum of the summer 2009 uprising in Iran has been violently repressed. People are naturally too scared to pay the price and no one should ask them too any longer. A proper more sensibel strategy is needed.

To target assassinate is one of the best options to reduce widescale civilian casualties and bring those culpable accountable. It has a deterrent effect and when it was used during the MEK campaign in the early eighties it knocked off scumbags such as Beheshti and maimed the current supreme leader. As opposed as one is to the MEK their campaign of terror against individual terrorists certainly rattled the upper echelons of the IR regime. True, the IR Terror regime did respond by killing its enemies domestically and abroad but even wihen the wings of the MEK was clipped the IR terror regime has continued to hound and oppress even its own founders and supporters such as the Forouhars and lately Mirhussein Mousavi and Rafsanjani's family. The IR has run out of excuses by which to terrorise people. First it was MEK, then Israel and now the Greens and anyone part of the 'Velet' revolution. Not one of these 'Pease Extremists' will criticize Obama for target assassinating Osama Bin Laden or Anwar Al-Alwaki. No these Iranians 'Peace Extremists' are being tugged safely into bed by uncle Obama.

As the Islamic Republic is cosnidered one of the largest sponsor of state terrorism according to the US State Department co-inciding with a number of successful litigations against the IR for its terrorist activities (//www.fas.org/sgp/crs/terror/RL31258.pdf) , we as Iranians should take advantage of this and call on the US (indeed any government) to eradicate some of the most vile human beings occupying Iran. It is in our mutual interests both in respect of lives of American citizens and Iranian citizens. We, Iranians abroad must play the Israeli line: To pose a threat to Israeli life is just the same as a threat to a US citizen. And this is true of us.

Along with Saeed Emamian, Irvani was implicated in the murder of Dariush and Parvaneh Forouhar and the other chain murders.Parvaneh Fourhar alone received 24 stabd wounds. One of the most notorious Shia Cleric turned murderer the regime has had. It is reported that he is the shadowy front man in secret talks with British, French and even Irish Republican Army representatives on security talks.

This Terrorists greatest crime was the treatment of young protesters in the Kahzirak Detention centre in 2009 where systematic torture, killing and rape took place and inmates were denied ventilation, food and water. He has also shut down a number of websites, imprisoning journalists.

Sharifi is keeping Ashtiani imprisoned and reports have emerged that she will be executed instead.
