You need to learn your history, not me. Aryan chauvinism culture did start around the Reza Shah era. He did it to legitimize his reign. We were a multi cultural society untill he came to power.

Also, looks like you’ve been living under a rock? Are you serious about “99% Iranians don’t think about this stuff anymore”??? get your numbers right! It’s the opposite. As I said, because of IRI’s extremism, Iranians are using this “Aryanism” even more and more in their daily lives.

Zarthoshti faith migrated to India right after the Arab invasion in fear of persecution and some migrated back to Iran centuries later and that explains their darker kind of Indian complexion. Actually  the Iranians who stayed in Iran and converted to Islam, may be more Persian than the people with Zarthoshi faith. They at least stayed in Iran and it's not like all married to Arabs.

Another racist rant about being Aryan.  I wasn't going to post a response, but I just couldn't help it.  You'd think in the 21st century the issue of race would become a nonissue.  The Iranians of today have very little in common with the Iranians of two thousand years ago.  Two millennia is plenty of time for a people to fundamentally change in culture, language, and yes, even race.  Iran has been invaded many times over and we have been crossbred with Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Afghans, and the Mongols to name a few.  Taking pride in our accomplishments, and sense of self and community is one thing.  But this garbage of us being from a "superior race" needs to go away.  It serves no purpose, and frankly it's somewhat preposterous.  A country that is supposedly racially superior to most if not all races, has not had a single accomplishment of worth to its credit for centuries.  Thousands of years of recorded history and all we harp on about is Cyrus and Darius.  It's high time we did away with these over inflated and egotistical images of self, that reside mostly in our overactive imaginations and are so astonishingly detached from reality. 

It's all a big myth.

I have always said believing in this “Aryan myth” and “Aryan supremacy” and this Koroush-Daroush myth that many Iranians, unfortunately, subscribe to is not only false but very very dangerous and border line Fascist.
Who said we are Aryans and who said being Aryan makes us better than anyone else? All cultures of the world must be respected. We think our s..t doesn’t stink, and that’s one of the biggest reasons we’re in this hole right now.
This whole Aryan thing started during the Pahlavi era and has really been intensifying since the revolution as a reaction to IRIs-own extreme shite (Not Islamic) policies and its murderous and inhumane nature. Unfortunately we are at a point that among many in the Iranian community, if you haven’t named your son either Koroush or Dariush and if you don’t think Kroush is the best thing that happened to humanity and if you don’t wear one of those “ahouraMadza” necklesses, you are not considered Iranian!
