Yes all people with property in Tehran are thieves
by amgw4 on Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:26 PM PDTand you and your gedah families are the only good people iran and of course you need to riot so you can loot banks and stores to get your "right" from these "thieves." yes of course.
Re: Those haouses are garbage
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Thu Jun 03, 2010 10:36 AM PDTThe reason home prices are so high in Tehran is due to inflation. You are mixing prosperity with inflation. It means homes are beyond reach of most young Iranians. Of course the Mullah zadehs have no problem affording them with stolen money. Not the same and not good.
Besides if you think a Villa in in Mazandaran is garbage you must be one of the in Mullas gang. Not something to be proud of.

Those houses are garbage
by amgw4 on Thu Jun 03, 2010 04:14 AM PDTThat house in Tehran costs 5x as much. That's right you poor dirty expatriates! Iran has an economic boom that would make you drop your TV dinner as you sit in your crappy apartment in the west. It's always funny when I see a gedah expatriate in the west sitting in his tiny hovel, working slave labor jobs, eating garbage processed american food, and talking about how good he has it relative to people in Iran.

Bigger picture
by MRX1 on Wed Jun 02, 2010 08:11 AM PDTI think bigger picture we all might be missing is, much of these consturctions if not all are being done in fertile land, agricultural area, forests and so on. Now if Iran was as green as Brazil, that may not be much of an issue, but in country that is mostly semi arid and dry, with not too many sources of water and rivers, with exploding population, importing 80% of it's food if not more, well then my friends it doesn't take a genious to figure out the social, environmental, and ecological catastrophy that is a head of us...........................
LOL
by Raoul1955 on Wed Jun 02, 2010 08:02 AM PDTPublic blog sites could be a fertile ground for social studies. For example, one can post a blog, or a video as is in this case, then make a claim, and let folks respond based on their own thoughts, perceptions, or preconceptions.
Does anyone know for a fact if this video shows ‘vacation rentals’ in Florida, Southern California, Southern France, or some other place?
Does anyone have certified copies of the deeds to these vacation homes?
Cheers,
Sean

These villas
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Jun 02, 2010 07:45 AM PDTmay be on stolen property. The IRI has confiscated much of people's property. Therefore anything being sold should be researched first. If it is confiscated land then buying it is purchase of stolen goods. The people buying it are accessory to theft. They will at the minimum risk having the property taken once IRI is gone. The rightful owners have the right to restoration of their property. Do not waste your money before researching where the property comes from. Or else you may lose it and be prosecuted as accessory to theft.
In fact rightful owners have a case to bring claims against both IRI and any new owners in court and press charges. This may be done both inside and outside of Iran. The inside part may take until IRI is gone but make no mistake it will be.

by hamsade ghadimi on Wed Jun 02, 2010 07:40 AM PDTi think that there's a trend in iran as elsewhere (e.g. u.s.) of rise in residential communities that are within an association with certain rules and guidelines. the premise is that people like to live next door to like-minded people. for example, if you hate the neighbor that doesn't mow his grass or puts up a giant flag in his yard, you can move to a community where it is required that everyone mows their grass and are not allowed to put up giant flags on their property. i know of people living in such communities.
mm,
that statement made sense: the price is higher for people they (the sellers) consider riff-raff.
dk,
people who can afford these villas are not necessary those associated with the regime and probably not religious people. there are still rich people in iran that are not associated to the regime and have earned their money or have old money (albeit a smaller percentage than before revolution). however, these people have even more incentive to choose to live next to each other and keep the riff-raff out.
MM, EXACTLY!
by Marjaneh on Wed Jun 02, 2010 07:29 AM PDTNot to mention cutting out half the population's property rights to fractions, because of gender and building on land that doesn't belong to them.

Sounds to me like the builder is also "KHODI" and if you are high enough in the hierarchy of the system, you get a good price!

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Jun 02, 2010 06:49 AM PDTThe problem is more than just the billions of $ stolen. It is driving many Iranians out. Without the people Iran is just a bunch of land. It is our people that matter. Now with all these people moved out who will make Iran great? I worry once IRI is gone many will not return. I will but many will not and that is the real price.
what is $370,000/villa compared to billions stolen?
