This is actually the best device to er ... Take A Shit. You avoid Venereal disease (VD), unlike the risk you take in all Western Public Toiletts.

In France its called Toilette Arab ( sorry for the Arabs). But my goodness its So Painful to balance between one leg and another.

I remember at school when I had a teacher I really hated I used to imagine him taking a Shit ( Iroony Style). I think this would be a good dillemma for aOmid Djalili's Persian Ambassador Character in Pride and Racial Prejudice. ;0)

Good point Hassan Kachal, I guess it would be too "gross" to explain to foreigners that they have to use their hand to clean their ehem. Some things are better left to the imagination :o)
