Sex-change operations (4)

PART 4: "Be Like Others” documentary by Tanaz Eshaghian

[PART 1] [PART 2] [PART 3] [PART 4] [PART 5] [PART 6] [PART 7]

Winner of the international critics’ (or FIPRESCI) award for a foreign film, the documentary profiles the lives of young gay men who opt for gender change rather than live in constant fear of abuse and retribution. Homosexuality is punishable by death in Iran, while a fatwa issued by Ayatollah Khomeini made sex change permissible for “diagnosed transsexuals."

What happened to al rahman al raheem

by Anonymous5 (not verified) on

It amazes me how muslims who start their prayers with bi ismi allah al rahman al raheem fail to have any sympathy for people who are different.
Iran has a great program for those who want to have a sex change program but what about those who don't want to have it?
I think as a society we have a long way to go to accept the fact that we can not all be the same. There are people who are different and it's nothing but normal.
I wish there was something I could do to bring this sense into people in Iran and Iranians outside Iran. It's not only Iranians in Iran who have a problem with this stuff.
