Fataneh Dadkhah's photographs were on display at New York's Lincoln Center as part of an Iranian theater festival focusing on Ta'ziyeh.
Dadkhah is a brilliant photographer who creates pictures that blend dramatic scenes and colors. She is also documenting Ta'ziyeh as an important, under-appreciated, art form.
Dadkhah was a stage photographer for Roudaki Hall in Tehran for twenty years. She has also done research about Ta'ziyeh as a form of pop culture.
Dadkhah resides in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and works as a photographer.
