I give thanks to the liars, for they teach about truth,

I give thanks to the lawless, for they teach about order.

On this Thanksgiving, I give thanks to the haters, for they teach about love,

I give thanks to the ungrateful, for they teach about gratitude,

I give thanks to the cowards, for they teach us about courage.

On this Thanksgiving, I give thanks to the teachers, for what they did not teach,

I give thanks to the leaves, for protecting the roots,

I give thanks to the monarchists, for teaching about the republic.
